Saints Defeat Buccaneers by 16-14 Final Score: Saints Injury Report

The New Orleans Saints lost another two defensive players, Tom Johnson and Patrick Robinson, with leg injuries during their 16-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The injury list for the Saints defense continues to grow longer this season, after their thrilling 16-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday.

Defensive end Tom Johnson went down in the first half with a right leg injury. His return was listed as questionable during the game but he never returned. The Saints are already thin on defensive line with injuries to Glenn Foster and Tyrunn Walker last week.

A nasty knee injury suffered by Patrick Robinson in the 3rd quarter was the other key injury to note for the Saints. Robinson's leg was put into an air cast and he was seen crying as he was carted off the field. My uninformed guess would be that we've seen the last of Robinson in 2013.

Drew Brees is lucky to get out of that game unscathed after taking four sacks.

looked like a war zone. I really wonder if we could do better with different trainers. I don't know that much about this sort of thing but we have to do something different to reduce the casualties...

How many knees have we lost this year? 4? 6?

I would seriously consider mandatory knee bracing of some kind. They dont effect the movement from front to rear but give a little protection against side blows.

The anouncers were saying PR may be done for good. Said the knee injury looked bad enough to force a retirement

I feel awful for him. That's just not right. I'm thinking "an eye for an eye..a knee for a knee".......ok, I'm not right, either!

Man i hope thats not true, P rob looked very upset and whilst some of us (including me) have questioned his play i would hate to see him forced into retirement from NFL at a young age

Stay strong p rob

Ive said for years we need to reavaluate our strength and conditioning people. Injuries also seem to decimate all of Ryans defenses. Happened to Dallas last year. I wonder if it has something to do with the way he practices or plays his players.
