The New Orleans Saints are 2-0, a year after they started 0-4 under the interim head coach for the interim head coach. That means that the return of Sean Payton has them completely turned around, right?
Wrong. Rob Ryan has them completely turned around. Two weeks (minus one game) into 2013, the NFL coach of the year is Ryan, the Saints’ new defensive coordinator. “We just want to try to get better each week and work hard,’’ Ryan told reporters last Friday, crediting the players rather than his scheme for the huge stop against Atlanta. “We are working hard to get better and to be a little tiny part of our (team’s) success.” It has not been tiny so far. Re: All hail Rob Ryan, savior of Saints lowly defense
We just ran up against two elite running backs back to back. I think we've done pretty good. I see a lot of stops behind the lines of scrimmage. They've been getting most of their yards on gashes, but it happens. Especially with elite guys. We look much better. Much better. Corey White is about to steal Jabari Greer's spot.

Way too soon for articles like this. Maybe when/if we are undefeated in week 10 and up by two games in the division. Great job so far, but keep buying us drinks at Mae's until then, Rob!

As long as he gets our D into the teen range he has done his job. From 13-19 on D, the O can do the rest.
