Ex-Saints Receiver Wants To Coach Grambling
A little over a week after Grambling parted ways with one former NFL star as head coach, another one is apparently throwing his name in the hat. According Grambling State's student newspaper, The Gramblinite, former New Orleans Saints Star Joe Horn has announced he is interested in becoming the school's next head coach.
Horn spoke at Grambling for the school's constitution lecture. He talked about the reputation the university has for the relationship between students and faculty, in addition to adding that he'd like to be considered for Doug Williams' old spot. Horn has no head coaching experience, but he is a recognizable name in recent Louisiana football history. He spent over a decade in the NFL, most notably with the Saints. Horn earned four Pro Bowl nods in his seven years with the Saints. He was selected to the team's Hall of Fame in 2012. Grambling is looking for a coach to replace Williams, a former Super Bowl MVP and star quarterback for the Tigers. Williams was fired last Wednesday, and George Ragsdale took over as interim head coach. Ex-Saints Receiver Wants To Coach Grambling ~ HBCU GAMEDAY |

Re: Ex-Saints Receiver Wants To Coach Grambling
No one knows how good of a coach he is or could be. Even Payton, as great a coach he is had to start somewhere...
