Re: Drew Brees: Dashon Goldson "has no regard for the rules in the middle "of the field"
I dunno, I look at it like, Drew Brees is explaining their own rules to the NFL. Taken in that light, it's completely arrogant and cocky, which I like. And notice how after Drew spoke up, the fines started flying. Any competitive advantage that's within the rules is fair game to be exploited; working the refs to your advantage is a part of the game, so why not off the field as well? Next time the refs will be looking for hits, there will be a fine history in place for them so the fines will be larger, greater scrutiny to these players and their dirty coach. If worrying about a hit or a fine against a Saints star player makes the defense hesitate and slows them down for a fraction of a second, that fraction of a second could be the difference next time between a sack and a TD.
