Malcolm Jenkins

Ive said this before Jenkins could be a very good corner. He looks good today.

Re: Malcolm Jenkins

Jenkins did look good, but he did miss a tackle which Lofton cleaned up

Re: Malcolm Jenkins

I've said this before too, but I think he needs to be playing corner or strong safety. Free safety is a bad fit for him because he lacks the decision making skills, but he sure can cover a tight end or running back out of the flat.

I chalk it up to showing them something different, we didn't run as much three safety looks as the past 2 games?!

I am coming over to the side that says this is a good defense. If they can play this well in front of a national audience next Monday it will be like a coming out party

Our defense is playing better injured than most other defenses.

It looks like Ryan makes adjustments on the fly and doesn't stick to just reading off his I-HOP menu.

Re: Malcolm Jenkins

I think everyone forgot Jenkins started as corner in 2009,and was moved to FS after Sharper was injured . The guy just seems to be there when a big play is needed,he just lifts the morale up.He misses tackles often, but hes a standup guy,a booster.

At first I thought it was just damn lucky but it's hard to make that argument anymore. They are absolutely getting pressure without blitzing. When you can do that then you have a real defense.

Actually we played 3 safeties most of the first half (sorry, haven't re-watched the second half yet), with Bush and Jenkins back deep and Vaccaro roving around the box around the linebackers.

I was actually reallly impressed with Bush in this game. He is not just a special teamer, he's a real football player.

I think I said this during the game but this team's four-man rush reminds me of Haslett's first year team. Joe Johnson, Norman Hand, Laroi Glover and Darren Howard. But this defense has much better players in the back 7, and with Galette and Jordan moving around all over the place they are getting pass rush from all kinds of different directions. We actually played a four-man line most of this game but even when they played three they still got a big push.

i have not seen anything really different than what Willaims had the team do before the Spags Era.

I do credit him with letting these players play.

Don't see us shelling out big money to keep Jenkins...

Besides, we do better with younger, faster, cap friendly contracts on defenses - you know - young and hungry...

I disagree, ROB's pressures seem not to leave us wide open for getting beat. D line is getting home like I haven't seen even in the times of Greg Williams..... I do remember Greg getting home.... but he used everyone.... and all out blitzed a lot....

those aren't good words to use together.... please call them something else besides Young and Hungry.... You wanna ask Washington Redskins def. coordinator Raheem Morris how those two words work together when talking about a "YOUNGRY" defense....
