Which player is off to the better start this season, Jordan Cameron or Cameron Jordan?
While the Cleveland Browns' former hoopster is making big plays reminiscent of a young Tony Gonzalez as the most productive tight end not named Jimmy Graham, the New Orleans Saints' defensive end is keying the league's most impressive turnaround. Only four teams have allowed fewer points than Rob Ryan's unit through three weeks. This comes on the heels of surrendering a record 440 yards per game under former coordinator Steve Spagnuolo last season. "Everyone talks about [the Saints losing] Will Smith and Jonathan Vilma," quarterback Carson Palmer said after the Cardinals' Week 3 loss, via TheMMQB.com. "But Cameron Jordan is really good. Junior Galette is really good. They both stop the run and rush the passer. That is a really good combination." Galette was on our radar as a top "Making the Leap" candidate entering the season, but it's Jordan who is at the heart of the youth movement on the defensive front seven. Re: Cameron Jordan leads Saints' dramatic turnaround on Defense
Been saying it since the off season. It all starts with Cam. I'm so happy he's turned himself into an elite talent. He along with Junior in a year or two will cost us a crap ton of money... and every penny will be worth it. We should look into giving them early extensions after Graham is settled with his contract in hopes of saving a little in the long run. The cap is not in our favor.

Been saying for a while that Cam Jordan is the future and will eventually be the captain of the D i believe
Now though, all our D lineman are young, they can all generate great push upfront and all get after the QB |

Great players make those around them better. Hopefully some of his technique will rub off on the rest.

Didn't we just resign Junior to a lengthy contract? I tell ya, our FO knows it's sh*t.

Yeah, Galette is ours for 3 years. Will Smith and Vilma will be gone (Smith probably retired), creating enough cap room after this season. Stop listening to yahoo sports about our cap situation, as they are consistently and embarrassingly wrong.

God its about time our defensive draft picks start working out. We were getting some duds there for a while. Jordon and it looks like Vaccaro are the only ones I can remember living up to their draft status in years.
We also hit gold with Gallette and Wilson. |

Re: Cameron Jordan leads Saints' dramatic turnaround on Defense
I don't know if they've been telling him to stay home and not rush the qb the last couple years, but it sure seems they've released a beast.
And it sure is nice reading positive articles about the defense as opposed to last year. |
