The Dolphins come into the Superdome on Monday night with a surprising 3-0 record with close games over the Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta Falcons. Though the Saints appear to be the better team, the Dolphins are team to be reckoned with. Ryan Tannehill, a somewhat forgotten young quarterback in this golden age of passers, is leading a productive offense with playmakers Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. Couple that with a defense featuring playmakers like rookie Dion Jordan, free agent acquisition Dannell Ellerbe, and former Falcon Brent Grimes (a thorn in the Saints’ side when he was in the division), and the Dolphins present a stiff test.
It doesn’t get any easier as the Saints then travel to Chicago to face the rejuvenated Chicago Bears. Jay Cutler, under the tutelage of offensive guru Marc Trestman, is having a nice year... Read the rest here Last edited by Halo; 09-26-2013 at 11:52 AM.. |

Re: A look ahead: New Orleans Saints face difficult three game stretch
Sorry.... I can see past the Names and the 49ers and Falcons are playing like crap where the Dolphins, Chicago, and patriots are winning and will be our toughest stretch.
If Jim Brown at the age of 77 took the field against us tomorrow, some people would worry about our defense. |

Tough call but @Falcons and @Seahawks are dangerous in my book. So I go with that over @Chicago and @NE. But if we can win 2 out of 3 during both of these I will call it a wiener.

Other than the OL this team is better than 09. If they get as far is another story but straight up talent they have better players. If not for the RZ stalls the first two would have been routes as well.

I think right now of that stretch, the Patriots are the biggest pretenders. I watched them play and their offense is barely pulling weight. Their defense leaks like a sinking battleship. What the Pats have going for them is they're playing at home.

Nope sorry only one game to concern themselves with. This Monday. Screw looking ahead. Let the dumbasses from the various sports channels waste air time on this

Re: A look ahead: New Orleans Saints face difficult three game stretch
I disagree with the article on this being the toughest. I think the 49ers, falcons and seahawks are the toughest.
I think the patriots are overrated at this point. Maybe when they get gronk and dola back they will be better but their defense is carrying them. The dolphins have showed impressive heart but they go very long stretches without generating offense. The bears are the one true test as they have great balance right now Also, when you have a great defense you can always beat people. The seahawks have a great defense and the 49ers (even though they've struggled) still have a talented well coached defense. I think we're better than the falcons but nothing is given when it comes to divisional games especially on their turf. In addition to the 3 games above we play the cowboys at the beginning of that stretch and panthers at the end of the stretch. |
