When it comes to bragging rights, oddsmakers are telling us the top two teams in the NFL are the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.

Oddsmakers are also saying the 3-0 Saints are the third-best team in the league as they head into a Monday night match against the 3-0 Miami Dolphins in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Ask Sean Payton about how good his Saints are and I'm sure he'd tell you, "ask me in December, but that's off the record. Just say I'm a happy coach.''

He should be.

It's not merely the 3-0 start, it's how they got there, overcoming the loss of as many, or more, key defensive players on defense as there were on offense.

When you allow your first three opponents 17 points (Falcons), 14 (Buccaneers) and seven (Cardinals), a 3-0 getaway is no shock.

Now Payton is looking at an early-season schedule that sends his troops against three tough teams -- the Dolphins at home, the Bears and Patriots on the road -- that will give him a better idea of what kind of ball club he has going into an October bye week.

This article is moot. I don't see many stretches that are too easy. Some might St. Louis BUT we always have trouble with the & especially in their stadium.

There is no one game that worries me. We could keep this winning streak going.

I seem to remember reading that the saints had one of the toughest schedules in the league this year.

We will all know which team is really a good 3-0 team right now. I haven't followed the Dolphins, bu you could argue the Saints were pretty lucky in the first two games.

There is no such thing as luck, just making most of the opportunities given to you...

Was it lucky that Vaccaro tipped that pass intended for Gonzo or do you credit K.V. for using his skills to make a great play on the ball?

No that was a good defensive play, the luck was more with Jackson dropping a ball that hit him in the hands on the play before. Then with the BUC's, I thought we were pretty lucky with the home field kicker missing the FG because that would have made us need a TD to win it (remember we were not exactly killing it in the red zone at that time).
Of course, both of these plays were the end of the games and a lot had happened prior to them to even get the Saints into these positions.

The chicago game worries me. Plus, a healthy gronk and dola for new england could be tough. However, I believe all 3 are very winnable although I think going 2-1 in that stretch is most likely.

That's not lucky either, Jackson didn't make the most of his opportunity and the kicker choking in a clutch situation... If you give credit for a good play then you can't call luck when something bad happens...
