Falcons lose
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Re: Falcons lose
My current Facebook status:
Someone that knows the Heimlich Maneuver! Quick! Get down on the field! Matt Ryan is choking....AGAIN! On second thought, let him get it down himself so he can taste that bitter taste of defeat! |
Re: Falcons lose
Not only did their bandwagon just get lighter, it may well be empty.

Re: Falcons lose
You stop Gonzo in the red-zone and Skid Britches has nothing...

Re: Falcons lose
They fought a tough game. It took alot to come back from that deficit. Matt Ryan and Mike Smith just cannot get it done in clutch situations when the game is on the line. This is why they will never be real SB contenders. 8-10 times we win a game like that.

Re: Falcons lose
No pity from me. They had their chance last year.
Our division is pretty crappy. Bucs have the most talent of any team but they are a dumpster fire. Falcons were always overrated and outside of their top players, their overall roster is a joke. Panthers are the Panthers, irrelevant as always. |
Re: Falcons lose
Matt Ryan just may be the WORST red zone quarterback in the NFL, have the Failcons scored in the redzone at all this season?! Lmao

Remember, Carolina has beaten us more in recent years than Atl or Tampa. As far as the Falcons go though, they are some of the biggest overachievers in the NFL, have been since 2008. They are often rewarded with easy schedules where tough teams go there to play instead of them going outside of Atl to play a tough game. Its no surprise they went to Miami and lost, to me its quite shocking NE went in and won, and I dont believe the Patriots are all they are cracked up to be this year either, kind of tells you just how weak that Falcons team is. They complain losing Julio, Jackson, whatever else as the source of their problem. Saints and Patriots who both beat them, has had more injuries, it shouldnt be an excuse, especially since its not like they lost a QB. |
Re: Falcons lose
Coaching is the problem with every team in the NFC South outside of the Saints. Cam Newton, Josh Freeman, and Matt Ryan would all be Pro Bowlers on the Saints roster. Payton would have Cam running the read option with Sproles. He'd have Freeman throwing deep bombs all over the field with that big arm of his. He'd have Matt Ryan being much more consistent, and looking oddly reminiscent of Drew Brees. Our coach is the x factor. We learned that for certain last year.

Re: Falcons lose
The most the Pats got ahead was 10-points!!
The falcants can't protect a lead and win and can't win when they get behind! IMO, if the birds dont finish the season at least 8-8, Mike Smith will be fired. |

We got to remember, they needed a rabbits foot last year or else they could easily been 9-7 instead of 13-3. |
Re: Falcons lose
I listen to the local station here In atl ... They seriously thought they were worth all of the hype and attention they were getting ? They got more respect for choking a Super Bowl bid to San Francisco than the Saints got for winning the damned thing !!!
They were unbelievably lucky all last year , teams basically laid down for them late in games shooting themselves repeatedly In the foot , Sean Payton and the real saints were absent , the replacement refs botched a Seattle win that changed playoff seating I mean things couldn't have been laid out any better for them , I have no idea why they thought they'd be able to do that again no pressure ... Carolina takes the wild card IMO ... |
Re: Falcons lose
All I can say is I am sure the Falcons faithful(if there is such a thing) must be distraught

Not only just what you said, Seattle and San Fran were not great last season despite their records. I think the NFL flat out rigged a Harbaugh bowl to take place. It was ****ed up last season all around for everyone. I dont even believe Baltimore nor San Fran should of been in the SB either. |
Re: Falcons lose
I have to admit I really love reading the Falcons forum after a loss.....it's too funny!!

Re: Falcons lose
Matt Ryan = "white elephant".
white elephant, noun; 1) A possession unwanted by the owner but difficult to dispose of: "the failcons quarterback is a white elephant". 2) a possession entailing great expense out of proportion to its usefulness or value to the owner: "When Can'tlanta signed QB Matt Ryan to a $104 million/5yr contract extension, they didn't realize he'd be such a white elephant". |

Re: Falcons lose
As I was watching the Falcons come back, I was thinking that if they tied that game and somehow won it in overtime, it would be a HUGE boost for their confidence and probably turn their season around.
On the flip side, the way they lost, falling short (AGAIN) at the end of the game reinforces their issues and probably finished them for this season. Not officially telling Falcons fans to spend their Sundays on the golf course (yet), but they probably should be getting their carts serviced and be inquiring about available tee times... |
Re: Falcons lose
The Patriots almost let the dirty boys back in the game at the end.

Re: Falcons lose
I wouldn't go so far as say it was "garbage time" but you could tell that the Patriots were looking at the clock and counting how many drives/scores the Falcons needed, and how effective the Patriots offense was moving the ball and controlling the clock, and I felt like Bellichick knew they pretty much had the game in the bag, and they sorta collectively took their foot off the gas for a while. Then stomped it down again at the end. Wasn't garbage time, but a lot of the Falcons comeback was borderline, meh, getting close to it. Unlike the Seahawks/Texans game, which felt and looked different -- that was a REAL second half comeback by Seattle.
