Junior Galette Says...

Really Junior? Stop the karma train why don't you. Someone get the duct or duck tape. Doesn't matter which one.

"I just don't feel that team was as good as everybody was saying they were," Galette said, per The AP. "We just abused the offensive line all game."

Well I guess he's right. Which makes the Falclowns even worse than their 1-3 record would suggest, since they lost to the Dolphins. LOL.

From what I understand the Dolphins O-Line were talking smack the whole game or something like that...

That's why he said those things in his post-game presser.

I'm sure the matter will be addressed behind the scenes.

Yeah I noticed during a TV timeout that Galette was barking at the O-Line and Jenkins was getting between them and trying to calm down Galette.

I think it was their guard dog firing off his mouth again. Can't be sure though.

Dirtiest player in the league by far, on and offensive line that has given up 18 sacks in four games......... Incognito is horrible

Incognito is a known douchebag.

I just dont like pregame talk, get the job done and if the opposition has run its mouth say what you want.

Pretty sure I saw Incognito jawing at a couple of Saints players who were pointing at the scoreboard. Believe it was 35-10 at the time.

Junior is a loudmouth, but I'd rather have a loudmouth who can play than somebody like ... Will Smith (sorry but it's true)

Re: Junior Galette Says...

i much rather hear him say he needs to work on his run defense and his performance against the run was "not good as everybody is saying"

he is getting a bit better but i can not give him a break

worry about yourself first before getting cocky about teams performance. rushing the QB he is get a B+ but the rest of his game is a solid D

Re: Junior Galette Says...

Look out, Junior got into the cheese! I'm all for confidence, but based on my experience, the minute you open your mouth wide enough is the minute a huge super-sized slice of humble pie is force fed to you by karma's gentle hands.

Hoping he tones it down a bit, if not for his sake, but for his team's.

Stupid people will jaw at you even after getting straight up annihilated, punked, abused, or what have you. Everyone saw it. No need to go captain obvious with the media afterward. But he's young, he'll learn.

Re: Junior Galette Says...

Since you rarely hear this type of talk from a Saints player, I expect it is "company policy" to play ball and shut up. I fully expect that Payton will deal with the issue.

Incognito is a f*cking joke too. Wannabe tough guy running his mouth while the franchise qb is getting murdered.

Yeah it was definitely Incognito that was talking a whole lot of S*&^ if Junior retweeted him after the game.

I know some of you guys get put off by Junior but this it the first time I've seen him actually come after another team publicly...outside of the pretty harmless fun jabs he takes at the Falcons...like that. He talks a lot but this is the first I've seen him say something to reporters. He usually keeps it to twitter and even then its not really coming at guys just stating how he and the defense are going to play.

Incognito is one of the dirtiest players in the league. EVERYBODY hates that guy. So he had to be saying some really outlandish S*&^ in my opinion for Junior to be that fired up to say something to reporters after the game.

And the reason why I see nothing wrong with this is because it was AFTER they beat the Dolphins. When you go out and perform I have no problem with you talking smack.

Personally, if you are talking shyte during a game I am going to hurt you physically while I keep my mouth shut. Too me that is a superior motivational tool.

Pretty sure that was a little jab at the Falcons, too! After the game is definitely better than running his mouth before the game.

Re: Junior Galette Says...

I am not sure I see the issue with what Gallett said. He didn't get derogatory, just just said after playing Miami he felt they were not as good as all the media hype..

Don't we say that week in and out about the Falcons?

He doesn't need to say anything. Just point at the scoreboard & laugh.

I agree with this. He does a lot of chest-beating and whatnot but I can't ever recall him openly talking crap about another team. Most of it is just focused on himself or the team. I like that confidence or "swag" or whatever the kids are calling it these days.

Shut up Junya. Geezuz

Saints LB Junior Galette: Dolphins aren?t as good as people said they were
Really? Payton better set this man straight. He should have said,

"The Miami franchise is a fine one that gave us a great test in the Featured NFL Game for week 4. I am pleased that we were able to win this one tonight."

ScottF 10-02-2013 09:32 PM

Re: Shut up Junya. Geezuz

What Galette fails to realize is that his team is almost unstoppable at home on a Monday night. Also the Dolphins offensive line is average without Jake Long.

so in other words, Junior was right?

More jawing after this game than the Falcons. This rivalry is really heating up...can't wait until 2017
(severe eye roll)

News flash: Junior is not a gentleman. He's a man that wants to go through people to keep them from scoring.

Please, please don't shut up, Junior. Talk more and tell people that hell is coming with you.

Keep it up. Attitude and bravado. Forget that modesty crap. Class is overrated when it comes to sports.

alleycat_126 10-02-2013 11:04 PM

Re: Shut up Junya. Geezuz

Let me say this, you know he was right..... Why does he have to be modest about it...... Our field, they field...... they would got that @ss busted!!! They got the dirtiest offensive lineman in the game over there in Richie Incognito and he was probably talkin S#$t the whole game.... Let them stew in that L.... They'll get over it!!!!

Junior, act like you've been there. Keep your mouth shut.

Jack Vegas 10-02-2013 11:33 PM

Re: Shut up Junya. Geezuz

Repeating this from the other thread, Junior may talk a lot of noise on his Twitter or whatever, but he doesn't ever just run down his opponent from what I know. Something the Dolphins did/said must've set him off. You could see them jawing at the end of the game.

But I agree with a lot of other people too. Screw being classy. I want this team to be nasty junkyard dogs. Tell them you're gonna beat their ass, then beat their ass, then make sure they know you beat their ass. Then win the Superbowl. After all this team and fans have gone through in the last year we deserve to be able to wave it around in some people's faces.

Re: Shut up Junya. Geezuz

Why do Saints fans always think that these players need to be mild mannered gentleman who walk old ladies accross the street, always home when the street lights come on and eat all their vegetables?
Whats wrong with a little attitude? Whatever Junior is doing is working and I hope its contagious. This defense as a whole is showing attitude on the field. Nothing wrong with talking smack and trying to get under other players skin.
I dont care what these guys say or do as long as they can back it up on the field and are good team mates.
Everyone thinks that things are so classy under Sean Payton. Dont forget this is the coach who lied to the NFL about bounties, allowed Vicodin to go missing under his watch and has personal issues of his own.
These players are allowed to have lives just like anyone else. Keep it up Junior. I hope more players become vocal.
I find it a lot better than listening to all the scripted interviews that every other player in the NFL gives. The whole "we all stand behind Spags because he is our leader and we just go out there and try to execute"
Really? You go out there and try to execute? No **** sherlock.

Re: Shut up Junya. Geezuz

From what I've read and understand, their O-Line was talking smack the whole time, remember Incognito has been called out for being a big **** talker himself. He was talking smack the whole game, I guess thinking they would come back and get the win?!

Quote:

“I just don’t feel that team was as good as everybody was saying they were,” Saints outside linebacker Junior Galette, who had one sack, said of Miami. “We just abused the offensive line all game.”
Not like Junior wasn't just stating facts, who cares if they got their feelings hurt... Should have done more to win...

dizzle88 10-03-2013 03:30 AM

Re: Shut up Junya. Geezuz

Shockey had the exact same attitude and we needed it on our team

Would convert a big third down and would let the defenders know about it, I personally think junior shouldn't have gone to the media and done all the smack talking on the field but it's too late now so what the hell

TheOak 10-03-2013 03:48 AM

I love this thread....... And the other just like it.

It's like waking up to opposite day!

The usual raw terse individuals are arguing for eloquence, and the "don't hurt my feelings" crowd is supporting unadulterated logic.

The problem is, this kind of smack-talk usually comes back on ya' at some point ... unless you're planning on going 16-0 (and I know some of ya' are, ;) ), eventually you're gonna' be on the receiving end of this drama.

Respect your opponents in public, trash-talk 'em on the field while you're kicking their ass ... they'll remember it longer,.

yeah yeah yeah, we all love staying under the radar so much, who cares if we paint gigantic bulls eyes on our backs. People who run their mouths eventually get their butt's whipped by the humble kids in the most humiliating manner at some point.

Live long enough and you'll have seen it yourself once or twice. Don't turn into the Roddy Whites of the NFL.
