Random Notes ( Breaking Down Gamefilm )

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Not a play by play or drive by drive just pointing out the biggest things that need fixing. On running plays , prior to handoff out our receivers and Graham are already looking to see the result of the play ...

Random Notes ( Breaking Down Gamefilm )

Not a play by play or drive by drive just pointing out the biggest things that need fixing.

On running plays , prior to handoff out our receivers and Graham are already looking to see the result of the play as if to see whether our back made it out alive or not lol , they should be blocking downhill for a chance of a TD run

Jon Jenkins looked like Vince Wilfork on that 3rd and short

Galette is similar to Dwight freeney ( spin move is out of this world )

We pass block on runs ... Nobody finishes their man just kind of holds him up ... Those same guys end of clogging the running lane

Grubs , De la Puente , Strief suck on any running downs , doesn't help when our backs run towards the heat rather than where our blocking is ... Robinson had a 30 yard gain in waiting but cut back into the arms of a dolphins Dt for a 3 yard loss

Graham is a freak .... Triple coverage no sweat , closest thing to Lebron on a football field well get !

Hawthorne and Lofton are thumpers ...

Charles brown is a sissy .. No finishing blocks just tries to scoot his guy out of the way so our backs can get somewhere ... I wonder what Jason smith is doing

We actually run a 3-3-5 ... So we're not going to stop the run as we'd like , but nobody is going to beat Brees in a 4 yards and a cloud of dust scheme ...

That Sproles TD catch 9/10 is a pick 6 lol , the stones of this guy !!? Precision throwing

Once again Strief and Brown suck ... I'm very scared of peppers right now ...

Toon dropped one ...

We may not want a running game ... Sproles in space is too dangerous to keep getting a loss or gain of 2 running the ball .

We might want to draft Deanthony Thomas out of Oregon , 2 Darren sproleses lol mismatch heaven , let ingram or someone else go ...

Tyrunn walker is our best run defender , stiff armed pouncey tackle for loss with the other

Can y'all picture a bald Brees ? It may be time lol

Graham is a freak ( again )

Watson blocks better than brown lol

It's late that's all I'm good for

I think we should scrap the zone blocking scheme, fins DT was embarrassing grubbs and DLP

Agreed with most of the points, toon drops too many passes, he should have had his first TD

how about a vet that would welcome the platoon bit we run in new orleans all for areal shot at a ring. I have been playing around with the idea or better yet the idea has been playing around with me ..... Maurice Jones-Drew. he has had is pay day and it maybe time to play for the ring not the cash at 29.

then draft a OT in the draft and Armstead is ready to step in.

dreams dreams haunted by the cap

Sproles Maurice Jones-Drew PT and Robinson (maybe)

Re: Random Notes ( Breaking Down Gamefilm )

As far as another back, I think it could really help if we sign a beastly H-Back/Fullback that is a big threat in the passing game and can run and block too. Marcel Reece from Oakland would be the man, but Clay from the Dolphins also looked excellent and would fit the role.

I'd rather better oline men than another rb so we can critique and post 12 page threads about the guy. If only jimmy could block Lol flawless victory

Great breakdown. Agreed on this one in particular. I re-watched part of it and I don't care which back we use our o-line is either not capable or not willing to effectively run block. It is very strange since they are all large enough and SP stressed this in camp. So I'll go with not capable. And I won't Ingram bash until they are capable. If ever.

Wow. Those are some pretty accurate statements..........I'm usually a little too inebriated and don't pick up the fine details.

Most of that is true. Not sure what the answer is on the O line. But we need something.

I'll go point by point this is my best bet to break down all your random thoughts and mine.

I've thought this season running directly out of shotgun would help us a lot..... also I have seen no stretch run plays.... and you can count the number of times we run back to back runs..... ( We get 6 or 7 on a run, back in shotgun or immediate play action.

Jon Jenkins looked like Vince Wilfork on that 3rd and short
Just scratching his surface....

Galette is similar to Dwight freeney ( spin move is out of this world )
My first quarter MVP... He's making the most of his opportunity

We pass block on runs ... Nobody finishes their man just kind of holds him up ... Those same guys end of clogging the running lane

We keep up this winning and the only time we will need a running game is in NYC at the beginning of February!!!!

Graham is a freak .... Triple coverage no sweat , closest thing to Lebron on a football field well get
Here's what scary.... Jimmy said Lebron is bigger than him.... WOW How freakin big is Lebron if he puts on pads!!!! LOL!!

We actually run a 3-3-5 ... So we're not going to stop the run as we'd like , but nobody is going to beat Brees in a 4 yards and a cloud of dust scheme ...
if you believe Rob ryan.... which now I do we have the best runstopper in the league..... but he's injured for the season... We are gonna be even more potent as a d next year adding Victor Butler, Keyon Coleman....

That Sproles TD catch 9/10 is a pick 6 lol , he stones of this guy !!? Precision throwing
Hell the triple play coverage Jimmy TD Robert Meacham was running wide open.... And I mean wide!!!!Open... so accuracy counts....

Tyrunn walker is our best run defender , stiff armed pouncey tackle for loss with the other
We are deep... And getting contributions from lots of players who are getting healthy, and buying in!!

Watson blocks better than brown lol
after shawn got in his **** in that Arizona game!!! I guess he does....

You shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house, and if have a glass jaw you should watch your mouth..... cause I'll break your face!!! -50 cent

I kinda like that idea but I am not sure what MJD has left in the tank.

Another OT wouldn't hurt.
