Payton has figured it out. ... For the type of O line we have the best running game we can produce is a small quick shifty good in space back , he's preserving Sproles and giving another guy a shot. ... In think he is going to end up severing ties with our more tradition backs ... We are what we are , I was thinking the same thing we are a different offense with Sproles in the game , Reggie bush was the same asset not to this extent though ... Draft Deanthony Thomas out of Oregon and give ingram his walking papers

Yes! And with Sproles getting a heavier load of rushing touches, in a roundabout way that is a silent vote of "no confidence" in Ingram... or in Ingram returning to the same role in the offense that he had previously.

I'm thinking Ingram might be hurt for a while, even though he wasn't a big part of the offence, he's still a running back. If this is the case, we're gonna need to preserve the running backs we do have and keep them (this mostly applies to Sproles and Cadet) off returns.

Williams should take over KR and PR duties which means Sproles can actually get a breather. I would hate to lose Sproles on a KR or PR; he is too important to our offense at this point. We might see Mark Ingram end up on IR soon. |
