Oct 18, 1987 Saints @ Bears: Saints D racked up 5 sacks and picked off a hapless young Bears QB while winning the game 19-17; they eventually went on to the playoffs. The Bears QB transitioned over to coaching and of course his name is Sean Payton. I suggest we won that game twice by helping to put Payton on track to do what he does best.
This week the Saints are favored as a road team by 1 point so there's that. I also think a 1987-type score is a more likely outcome than another nfccg-type result. |
