If you truly think what actually happens on the field has no relevance what so ever then by all means just go to ESPN box score and look at the ticker all game, no point in watching or keeping track of anything but the final score.
AH! The "if you think" statement. I've read some dumb "if you think" statements on this board throughout the year. This one is right there with the best of them.

I'll tell you what I think: I think that, when a defense yields 435 yards but only allows 3 scoring plays, it means they tightened things in the red zone, and prevented the other team from putting points on the scoreboard, you know, where you say yards allowed go as well.

Here is a fun fact regarding yards yielded in a game: The Houston Texans are giving only ~250 yards a game (#1 in the NFL), but giving up ~26 points a game, and are 2-2. I'll take giving up 435 yards a game but just 18 points, thank you very much.

20-7 at the half and we get the ball. If you would have told me that before the game I would say we win easy, but we didn't make any plays in the second half.
I see. So momentum doesn't shift in games. Basically if I watch the 1st half and the score is 20-7, I should expect a final score of 40-14. Why watch the 2nd half then?

Oh, and I believe the Saints scored twice in the 2nd half. Were those not plays?

For the last time, I am happy we won but ill put my rose-colored glasses on when we win the SB. Until then ill be pessimistic when I see poor play on the field.
I don't wear glasses. Hey! That may be why I can't see yards allowed on the final score.

Starting to get that feeling?!?

Peyton in the AFC and Saints in the NFC?!?

The schedule is shaping this team so that it can be ready to play in the postseason...

And I don't mind the rookie mistakes today, because at least they're playing and learning...

...and we'll be a better, younger, faster team for it...

Hey JP,
I somehow think that Denver will slip up come post season. From what I saw yesterday against the Cowgirls, their defense is suspect. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Indy emerge from the AFC by the end of the season.

To be continued ...
