Ranked 11th with 3 teams in the top 10 having only played 4 games in total yards, and they're ranked 4th in points per game with one ahead having only played 4 games...

I see big improvement in the inside run game. That is awesome.

Of course, there are lots of things to work on. But, today's game was a statement game: Soldier Field, outdoor wet field, against a very good team, we didn't play a perfect game and we still won by two scores.

ESPN said it best: adaptable.

A win is a win, as they say. It wasn't particularly inspiring, but given our past troubles on that horrible field it's nice to just win.

The only thing the offense did really poorly was finishing drives. The defense just didn't play very well after about the halfway point of the 2nd quarter. I know they only gave up 18 points, and compared to last year that is good, but they spent very little time on the field. When they were out there they gave up way too many big plays.

I know it's nit picking, as I'm just not impressed by Chicago enough to be thrilled with our performance, but it feels good to get the soldier field monkey off the back.

On an obvious note, Drew Brees was on the freaking money. He didn't get the 300 yards, but man was he making some perfect throws.

I, too, was concerned about the lack of run game. But after pondering it I agree with others that Sean and Drew are making up for it with those short passes out of the backfield and have arguably the best screen receiver in the NFL in PT the lack of run production really isn't hurting us. I would still like to see us pick it up a notch in the run dept. though but if not I'm not concerned. We'll be fine.
