Well I guess I am stumped. I really cant think of many negatives. We improved our run game which is something to build upon. We controlled the clock very well. 0 Interceptions, great pressure for the most part. We caved a little by the end but I think we got cocky and chalked it up as a win. I think they learned their lesson quick, which is good. This team as it stands can beat anyone. We get our run game going and we will be a better team than 09 and 11. Oh and protection was much improved.

Bears are a nice team, but not an elite team. We should have won, and though we did, stalling so often in the red zone is a pattern that is hardening in this offense.

We better get a running oline coordinator or we will be sunk in November.

That's bold. We haven't beaten those guys in their house in the Brees era. That was a great game plan by the Saints.

Great win today and as far as I know, no injuries which is good! Things slowed a little for us in the 2nd half but hey, we got the win and thats what matters.

Once you experience the best and you know your team has the potential and all the pieces to be the best you expect the best. We have been to the promised land. Its not like the 80's and just getting to the playoffs is good enough. You have to always strive to achieve more than you already have.
In our case the next level is dynasty. 3 or 4 Super Bowls.
That being said you can expect the best but still enjoy the ride.

Isn't anyone concerned about the Red Zone and the fact that we're in the bottom 3rd in the league right now? I mean by game 5, you'd think the kinks were worked out in this offense. When I see two turnovers that we only come away scoring field goals on, it worries me. Against stronger opponents, it will definitely keep them in striking distance if the team doesn't score TD's.

Every team is tough here on out. Saints are tough too. Other teams are thinking, "Oh no, not the Saints. Any team , but them. Why not Goodell do something like say no Catholic teams or names with a religious conotation and fire Payton , LOL!!!"
About 1/4 of the season is over and 5-0 is really good.

I have no complaints. We ran the ball, played great defense got a big lead and honestly I felt like that game was over at halftime.

The only semi-downer is I made a preseason bet with a loudmouth Panthers fan I know that the Saints would be a top-10 defense and all those garbage time yards won't help the tally.

Ranked 11th with 3 teams in the top 10 having only played 4 games in total yards, and they're ranked 4th in points per game with one ahead having only played 4 games...

I see big improvement in the inside run game. That is awesome.

Of course, there are lots of things to work on. But, today's game was a statement game: Soldier Field, outdoor wet field, against a very good team, we didn't play a perfect game and we still won by two scores.

ESPN said it best: adaptable.

A win is a win, as they say. It wasn't particularly inspiring, but given our past troubles on that horrible field it's nice to just win.

The only thing the offense did really poorly was finishing drives. The defense just didn't play very well after about the halfway point of the 2nd quarter. I know they only gave up 18 points, and compared to last year that is good, but they spent very little time on the field. When they were out there they gave up way too many big plays.

I know it's nit picking, as I'm just not impressed by Chicago enough to be thrilled with our performance, but it feels good to get the soldier field monkey off the back.

On an obvious note, Drew Brees was on the freaking money. He didn't get the 300 yards, but man was he making some perfect throws.

I, too, was concerned about the lack of run game. But after pondering it I agree with others that Sean and Drew are making up for it with those short passes out of the backfield and have arguably the best screen receiver in the NFL in PT the lack of run production really isn't hurting us. I would still like to see us pick it up a notch in the run dept. though but if not I'm not concerned. We'll be fine.
