Re: Putting Brees in perspective
I know he can't understand but I told Sean (son) the other day that its not fair, you haven't seen the Saints lose yet in your lifetime, he's 9 months old, it took me 30 years to see them be this good. I'm already trying to teach him all that I know about football and the Saints
My grandmother loved Bobby like a son but I just can't stand him. The Eagles and Falcons playoff defeats are his fault. His INTs cost the Saints the game in both of them. To me he's just the benefactor of being the quarterback while the Dome Patrol was dominating the NFL |

Re: Putting Brees in perspective
I bet Brees' single season stats would beat the total career stats of both Billy Joe's combined together. Someone please look it up, LOL.

Manning in the Saints HOF? Deserving. NFL HOF? It's not even a debate. He doesn't belong. It has nothing to do with wins. Was he a victim of being on some of the worst teams in NFL history? Absolutely. That doesn't take away from the fact that statistically his numbers were horrible.

Re: Putting Brees in perspective
I dnt see why he shouldn't be in the NFL hof. He was a great player one of the most memorable players of our franchise. I'm sure they are players that are in the Hall of Fame that weren't on great teams. But I'm sure he's OK without being enshrined.
I think for a football player you have 3 highlights. Your first TD, winning a Superbowl, and getting into the hall of fame. Drew should make into the hall. |
