Re: NE matchup
I expect this to be a good and close game. I think the biggest weapon this game is going to be Amendola. He was on a snap count last week being his first game back since week 1 but I think he will be a full go starting this week. Amendola is like welker in the regard they both are very good at getting open in zone coverage.
Tom Brady is a hall of famer, his receivers are rookies and there is a learning curve. Last week they were plagued by drops. Will it be the same this week? Who knows. i think we win because our offense has to many weapons compared to NE right now. I don't think ya'll can keep up. The game against the Bears shows that we will take whatever the opposing D gives us and win regardless. My score prediction: Saints 24 Pats 17 |

Re: NE matchup
It will be another chest clutcher. But our offense can get the lead and our defense can hold it. Saints win.

Re: NE matchup
I see this as being the toughest game we'll play all season (yes, including @ Seattle). Unfortunatley our weaknesses this year are dovetailing right in with the Patriots strengths. I actually think this could be pretty low scoring game, 13-10 or something like that. And probably a slobberknocker.

Re: NE matchup
I think we surprise every one and run the ball well. Pats no longer have Vince W at NT and he was a large (pun) contributor to their defensive unit.
I love the match up. Two of the great coaches going toe to toe. If we win this game it should prove to the doubters that our team can go on the road and win anywhere. Saints 31 Pats 14 |

Re: NE matchup
Patriots defense has enough holes in it so far this season that Brees potentially can have one of those games where he goes insane.
No one has come up with a formula to beat the Saints this season. Most here are convinced our weakness is o-line, but Payton's offense has never been known as a running offense. Saints execution of the screen is as effective as any run game out there. I have to agree with Willie McGinest: Pats have to try and win time of possession, control line of scrimmage and hope for a shootout they can pull off with the last drive. For the Saints - keep pounding that defensive secondary on offense as it has looked bad at times this season. Saints defense needs to continue the 3 and outs where the Pats have had a hard time on 3rd down. It's possibly a trap game as Pats coming off a loss and playing at home. Saints just need to again control time of possession and it will probably be more than enough. |

Re: NE matchup
Agree with you with Michael Jordan, only.
However, Brady has continued to surprise me every year since college, but Jordan is a different level. Bill Belichick is a great coach. Going to be a tough game for both teams. Good luck to you also. |

Re: NE matchup
Thank you all and here is my prediction. The last five years we went to 3 AFC Championship games and 2 superbowl appearences with to me the GOAT at QB and HC. And just last year Brady having one of his best seasons ever with a 96 QBR and the third most highest scoring offense ever without Gronk for a chunk of the season last year. And I sure hope you guys are paying attention to the defense which is the result of Belichicks finished product that he has been working on for the last few years now second in points allowed only behind Seattle. They shutdown Julio Jones and AJ Green for the most part in addition to Gresham and Eifert so expect Graham to be taken away. Additionally last week was the final time where the receivers miscommunicated as this week they will put on a show in front of Foxborough this Sunday. I just have that feeling. Also Amendola was not at full strength as he will be this game as he is more then Welker to deal with as he has more speed and quickness and can take the top off your defense. Plus Gronk and Ridley will be back And Austin Collie will debut. So we get a healthy Amendola, Edelman, Collie, Gronk, Ridley plus Thompkins and Dobson to do some work too, we should thrive. Chemistry, timing and an uptempo pace will control this game.
