Brady's numbers haven't been up to his usual standards. He's 17th in quarterback rating (50.9), and yards (1,211). Brady's seven touchdowns ranks No. 13 in the league.

It's no doubt been a struggle, but the group has been producing nonetheless, Galette said.

And the Saints aren't about to sleep on the Patriots after watching them over the years, he added.

"They have a real good team," he said. "You can't just put down the radio and say 'Oh no, they're not as good as they used to be.' ... It won't turn out good for us."

Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro said Brady "makes players better," and said he's noticed their progression from week to week in his film study.

"They're getting better. Dobson and Thompkins, I think they're good receivers," he said. "They're going to get on the same page. And I would expect them to be on the same page this week.

"Brady will have them ready. Edelman, he's a good receiver, I think he's underrated a little bit. I think he needs more credit because he runs great routes. And he catches everything."

Re: Saints' defense won't sleep on Tom Brady

I swear my dream job was to write for Rolling Stone. Problems with that were/are (a) I don't right for crap and (b) even when I feel a tad Liberal I'm still way too over-the-top Conservative for such a magazine, even though I'm an excellent critic of music if I do say so myself.

So next I thought I might have made a heckuva Sports Writer. And it's articles like this one, so pointless it should never have been written in the first place, that make me think I might still have a shot.

"New Orleans Saints' defense won't sleep on Tom Brady, New England Patriots"

Well, no ****. There's a freaking revelation. If I were a Sports Writer, and if my editor told me to write this article, I'd have at least changed the title to, say, "Saints and Payton Would Be World's Biggest Fools To Sleep On (or with) Tom Brady".

See. I still give the editor the article he/she wants, but I come at it from the "no way they'd be that stupid" angle, AND I get a little side action with my "or with" comment.

Missed my calling I did, and sadly the education I needed went with it.

Maybe you're not a writer because you misspelled "write."
Agreed, this article was total marshmallow fluff, but had nice keywords for our google page rank and tags.
Now everyone can comment here on how much they love chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes.

Hookers!

Then again, every good "Writer" needs an editor, write...er, I mean right?

This is why I suck at math by the way...
