You're kidding, right Danno? Cause I thought I saw a little smile when you said that.

You know that the whole world called them out last time they officiated the Saints, and I'm sure they didn't like it.
We now have to play the 9ers team and the officiating team. It's gonna be a long game.

Not kidding at all. IF we get the same home cooking the Pats got we'll easily win by 3 scores. That doesn't mean we are gonna get the same home cooking.

Hopefully they know everyone's watching them closely and will call a good game.

After scanning the referee assignments and subsequent surprise, I thought that as well...

So I researched the WEEI article about his crews' stats and while his crew has a favorable home team rating, not so much the Saints, but definitely a Pats fav...

True, but whom does he ultimately answer?

As a school teacher, in the past, I'd said that that's a man of principle, so we'll see...

Caught a break with the Brooks-Brees Play...

Didn't like the NoCall on Kaepernick in the endzone; marginal, but it was the right call...

Re: Refs: Home Cooking?

I heard an interesting point on a local Sunday morning show about the refs ... the way the NFL has gone with regulating the game, they don't know their jobs or how to do their jobs anymore, so they err on the side of caution making calls rather than screw up by not making a call. This is evidenced by the fact you're seeing a lot of games with three/four major penalty calls, many late in the game, many being deciding factors in the outcome of a game.

There was other stuff and I'm trying to find it online somewhere, but this is what basically stuck with me about the current officiating in the NFL.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, it is what it is.
