Refs: Home Cooking?
Yeah, I know we won at Chicago and maybe it's because the women around me are making me "sensitive" this time of the month, but it sure did seem like the Head Linesman et al were given the Saints some "home cooking" on some of those second down spots with the football and "no calls" on the tackles...
Pats are tough enough, we don't need to be "against" the refs as well... If we'd been a lesser team, they'd had a huge impact on the game outcome... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Refs: Home Cooking?
I thought the same, but also felt the bad turf contributed. Several times during the game we lost potential yardage because of the turf giving way.

just say it. the nfl league office does not want the saints in the driver seat going into the play offs. would they call and have an indirectly ask th/tell the refs to influence game? mmmmm i would not be surprised

We seem to do a much better job planting and pushing off on turf. Hopefully we gain back 1/2 a step this week and it shows in our timing and execution. Referees can change the whole dynamic of a game with 1 or 2 irreversable judgement calls. Endzone or 3rd down pass interferences and the like. Ticky-tacky or let'em play... I just hope it's called equally so the guys can make the adjustment. |

Re: Refs: Home Cooking?
Remember the shovel pass Brees got off to PT, but the refs called it a sack and ineligible to challenge? How can they stand by that status (ineligible to challenge) when the replay CLEARLY shows some of these calls are flat wrong?
