Wartime Planner slash Meteorologist (it's that whole "more-with-less" concept) - Air Force - 17 years Active Duty. Like the Johnny Cash song: "I've been everywhere, man." Currently on I.R. due to old age (awaiting surgery and in the holding pattern).

Thanks to all of you for sharing this stuff with the rest of the group. I feel like I know y'all now.

And I really want to personally thank this forum for getting me through 3 overseas tours totaling 6.5 years and 6 war zone deployments. This place brought a little bit of home where ever I happened to be or what ever I happened to be experiencing. (tear) Thanks, y'all!

I'm a ASP.net web developer. Worked for years for the USMC in New Orleans but now on a contract with the USDA in Slidell. I also do a little freelance work and develop fantasy football-related web applications for fun.

I live in Idaho and travel around installing furniture on military bases
and university dorms. I grew up just outside of Abita Springs LA.

Not really, they're non-union so I wasn't able to parasite retirement benefits off of taxpayers.

I was paid based on what I worked for, which is 100% fair in my opinion. Retirement was my own personal responsibility, not Halliburton's.
