I'm hearing "Matt Flynn" bandied about all over sportstalk outside of Buffalo ... they just must be figuring he's been there long enough to learn the system ... didn't work too well for Minny throwing Josh Freeman out there early though ... either way, QB is gonna' be an issue for you guys on Sunday.

I think you guys will win, I just hope it isn't ugly. We've had a lot of close games this season.

Taking a look at our schedule so far

1 Sun Sep 8, 2013 Patriots L 21-23 0-1
2 Sun Sep 15, 2013 Panthers W 24-23 1-1
3 Sun Sep 22, 2013 @Jets L 20-27 1-2
4 Sun Sep 29, 2013 Ravens W 23-20 2-2
5 Thu Oct 3, 2013 @Browns L 24-37 2-3
6 Sun Oct 13, 2013 Bengals L 24-27 (OT) 2-4
7 Sun Oct 20, 2013 @Dolphins W 23-21 3-4

I would say the browns game is the one that got the furthest away from us, as TuelTime had to come in, and hopefully we never have to see that again. Other than that, we've been in it.

What would you guys say your weakest point is?
Hang in there Fitz, I remember another team that went 6-10 in 2010, losing 6 games by 4 points or less. The next year they were in the NFC Wildcard game against us. They could have easily been 12-4 that year. Slomotion knows who I'm talking about.

Unfortunately for you, it won't be that close this weekend.

He had 1 sack and 4 tackles all season with zero assists.

What do you think?

... and then that team went right back in the crapper the following season, finishing 4-12 and assuming their rightful place at the bottom of their division, ... hey, don't want to build up their expectations too much, Hulka, .

Re: Buffalo Bills

I got this one marked as a blow out.

41-17 Saints

Has all the makings of a big win considering how we match-up. Bills have one of the worst o-lines in the game when it comes to protection so I expect a lot of pressure in the dome. (given up 60 QB hits this year which ranks 31st)

Here is an interesting look at some o line stats. Our saints have been pretty good this year protecting Drew, and getting everyone healthy will be big for our running game.

Like everyone else has said; he's played in what one game this year? Battled injuries all season, no way he's a significant loss.

Interested in seeing what Keyunta Dawson brings to the table, hope he's active...

While the number of pressures that Buffalo's OL has allowed may lead you to that conclusion, I'd say it's not quite representative of the OL. There are a few confounding factors at work there:

1) The vast majority of pressures were allowed by former LG Colin Brown, who has not only been replaced, but also released from the team. In the Jets game alone, he allowed double-digit pressures and 3 sacks.

2) Both EJ and Thad have had a tendency to hold the ball too long. EJ because he's methodical in going through his reads; Thad because he panics in the pocket if his 1st read is taken away...makes the OL look worse than it is in reality.

Overall, the weak points in protection along the OL are the guard positions. Legursky is barely serviceable at LG, and Urbik is a much better run blocker than a pass blocker. If NO can get inside push with both Jordan and Hicks, that's their best best to pressure Thad. The tackles, Glenn in particular, are very good in pass protection, although Lewis hasn't gotten to the point where he's comfortable stepping up into a clean pocket to avoid edge pressure, so that's going to work in your favor as well.
