Who else here hates Tony Dungy
 

First let me get to the point, anytime this guy gets a chance, he talks smack about the Saints. I know he hates us as much as I hate him.

Listen, I really really really try not to let the pundits get to me but we are "force fed" what we watch on T.V.

In a perfect world in sports, we would have non bias sports pundits, but I guess this is what we have to deal with when watching what we love. O well :saddam:

Hate is a strong word.

I don't recall Tony speaking negative about anyone or any team.
In fact, I feel Tony is very careful in choosing his words because he is a positive kind of guy.

He mentioned this game?? What the hell is the point? It was in 2007. I mean he pulled it straight out his ass. Let it go dude.

I know he is one of the more respected commentators but he hates on the Saints every chance he gets. Just wait until we play the Girls on Sunday night, it will be us against the world.

I know we are a super bowl caliber team. Ill let the play of our team shut them up.

I took is as more of a Peyton Manning reference. I mean, Peyton did have a GREAT game. I don't think Dungy was dissing the Saints at all.

Your probably right exile and I dont want to sound like a sore loser, its just when you are dished the disrespect over the years its gets old. Trust me, Im not being a homer, I know plenty of other teams feel the same way.

Ill get over it but its old and really stale at this point. Part of being a fan I guess.

Hey we are Saints fans BDub. Don't come close to our yard. :). I remember back when everything was about Montana beating the Saints. At least they moved on to Manning. But he should have also mentioned a certain SuperBowl! 🎉

Yea u right. The old NFC West days with the Rams and 49ers were brutal.

I just know this, our window of opportunity of winning a couple of more rings is now! We have to smell that greatness like we did before. After this bye week its time to strike fear and light suckers up dammit!!!

He was talking about the pressure Peyton would be feeling being this was the first game back in Indianapolis.

He referenced the Saints game saying that was his first game back home as a pro and look how well he did...

It wasn't 2007, it was 2003. I was at that game as a season ticket holder, and got in a fight with (of all people) a Jets fan down here from New York. Long long long long story (more happened including I left a date at the Superdome who tried to get me killed by the Jets idiot (she was a b*tch I met in a bar the night before :chug:)).... anyway, I digress.

We got KILLED that game. It was the epitome of why I thought the Haslet era was a joke. When I say KILLED, I mean totally embarrassed.

Well, he said that we didn't stand a chance against the colts in the superbowl and we were going to get blown out by Peyton Manning

That gives me enough reason to dislike him and to laugh in his face once the refs blew for full time and we were world champs

None of them really bother me, because I rarely listen to games anymore. NO one is going to say anything that hasn't been said 1000 times before

Random note: As a young lad I was at the game when Dungy both threw and intercepted a pass- only guy to do in modern era. So I got that goin' for me

Sorry, gotta' flag you for unnecessary roughness ... you know how sensitive I am about "he who's name should never be spoken", :lol:. I make 'em change the game in the bar if he's one of the broadcasters, and if they don't, I leave. Good thing they limit him to college games or I'd really go berserk, :lol: ... and on topic, I usually don't pay much attention to Dungy since his Tampa Bay days.
