Ryan Griffin to active roster Martez Wilson cut

I'm definitely shocked Martez was cut... I know we all had such high hopes for him. He was pretty much leapfrogged though by Parys Haralson and our hopes for him are pretty much based on measurables like his size and speed. Maybe he is a better fit at ILB and I know some team will give him a shot but he didn't get it done here. Wish we had been able to trade him.

Maybe the stats would be different if he was out there more.. he could even be nice if we catch another injury bug but you can't tell me he wouldn't be the better choice down the road out of some of the older guys on the roster.

Chasing can Newton down sideline to sideline you can't cut talent like that.

I didn't read it as you being cold or harsh. You're just stating the facts and its true, despite his athleticism he has not been able to produce or stay healthy.

Because we didn't have the time to look for a trade. Griffin was apparently a hot commodity and the Rams could have signed him at any time...

That's the last player I expected to see cut today to make room for Griffin. I had high hopes for him coming into the season but his production deserves him getting cut. Hope he can resign with the Saints sometime later this season
