True, a positively mediocre Scott Fujita gave us fits once. Never did much else though.

After that span in the 90's when we faced our former players at Atlanta and San Fran, each time when they returned to KILL us, that was enough for me to say I'd rather our old players go far away. Even if Tez showed up for 1 game against a division rival and suddenly gets 4 sacks, that's 4 sacks more than I want to face from a former player.

We apparently have learned our lesson and have established 2 open channels for moving and disposing of former players:

1) Miami (East coast and AFC) and
2) Oakland (West coast and AFC).

I think it's just great policy to have these channels open. Otherwise you have Atlanta or TB sitting there ready to pick off anyone and pay them 500k with the hopes they can help them steal at least 1 game from us. Just sayin.

Re: Raiders Claim Martez Wilson

We have a real Saints to Raiders pipeline going on lately. Let that be a warning to the rest of our LB's... Do your job or you're going to Oakland! (Followed by their screams of terror LOL)

That's funny right there. Who needs fines when you can threaten with something like that?

Suprised they didn't try to claim Griffin after watching their QB play in preseason.

Good for him. He might be on the market after the season again.

Re: Raiders Claim Martez Wilson

No knock against Tez but Fujita is a cerebral player and spent enough time to know tendencies.. Fujita was also a starter for Cleveland, Tez is deep in the Raiders depth chart.

As far as for on the field audibles, those things change, calls on the field by Drew change regularly. They have to so division teams do not know all of our calls the second time we play them, and so 1/2 time adjustments don't make us completely predictable... so it wouldn't be as obvious advantage as one would think.

What Tez knows about our offense comes from camp, as our offense during the season runs our opponents offense so the Defense is familiar with it.

I will go out on a limb ans say Tom Brady and Belichick know more about our offense than Martez Wilson.

I still think if Wilson can bulk up a little, he will be a force. Good for him to be somewhere he can play.
