Kenny Stills

What can be said - 3 receptions for 129 yards and 2 TD's

Rookie stepped up when we really needed someone to

Kenny is going to be very good for us

Yeah we needed some WRs to show up. Lance looked good too.

Brees sure trusted Stills on that 3rd and 20 TD pass...

Brees looks like he trusts kenny like he would lance moore, the defender had perfect coverage, stills just made an awesome play on the ball

I really like this guy...what more can be said? 2 TDs with a hobbled Colston and Graham. Dude stepped it up.

Re: Kenny Stills

I told my friend (who's a cowboys fan)that we got a steal when we took him in the 5th round. He's athletic, has deceptive speed and can make THE catch. You just didn't see it much because he played in a dink and dunk offense at oklahoma. He's slowly starting to prove me right.

This rookie class is proving to be very solid with Stills, Vacarro, and Jenkins. It gets me excited about the future with these guys.

I loved that 3rd and 20 touchdown. I had a feeling it was coming. I was thinking o the New England game when it was 3rd and 20 and Stills pulled the same play.

awesome job by Stills.

I picked him up earlier this year to hold, but due to some bye week issues, I dropped him in my Fantasy league 2 weeks ago. grrr.

Goes up and gets the ball. Good body positioning. Can be very productive in the Saints offense.

The ball was tipped, he thought he was bringing it in. He didnt short arm it.

Toon was getting snaps, Drew just didn't throw his way. I saw 88 in the huddle numerous times.

I saw the replay. It didn't look tipped at all. He short armed it. I think it was a misjudgement more so than alligator arms though.

I'll have to re-watch it tonight. Several people are saying it was tipped. It didn't look tipped on the 1st replay.

The kid has great hands. No question about that...

But am I the only one who thinks he's S-L-O-W? I mean, he was almost ran down by a LB/DE (Jerry Hughes) yesterday. Hughes is certainly no burner.

During the ATL game he was totally run down by the CB's in Week 1. #23 made him look downright pedestrian.

Thoughts?

JD

He ran a 4.38 at the combine so he isn't slow. Quite the opposite. Once he gets past the defense it seems that he looks back a lot instead of just running full speed. And maybe he gets winded at times. Just my guesses though.

dizzle88 10-28-2013 10:30 AM

Re: Kenny Stills

I don't think he's slow, he does look around quite abit after he's caught the ball

I personally would rather have a guy like stills that makes the catch and protects the ball than one who makes the catch and gets it stripped.

Kenny is natural WR, he looks like he understands the game, with drew as his QB, he will work on the subtle things that makes the Drew - WR connections great

Don't confuse a DB taking a good angle with the WR getting run down.
The play in the video, Kenny is running at an angle towards the right sideline because of the pursue on his left (which BTW Kenny burned to get open and make the catch), the CB who caught him is running north-south to his right.

Yesterday's play, Kenny had to slow down and wait for the ball, whereas the LB was coming at him full speed; but once Kenny caught the ball, he had enough acceleration to still get away from the LB.

I could care less if he is slow or not, making those big plays! Moore is slower but does anyone care?

Speed doesnt matter if he gets open.. and he does seem to do that well.

Totally agree. Eric Martin was one of the best WR's in Saints history and he was slow like a garbage truck, but had the moves to get free on any play with any defender and had hands of glue. Although speed can be dangerous, it's not everything at the wide receiver position.

Yeah and look at Colston. He is not really fast, really quick or anything; all he is, is just the best we ever had.

Stills did great. Anybody else wondering what is up with Colston, he looked way off yesterday.

Case in point, Mike Wallace. Fast as a mofo, but man does he drop a lot straight through his hands.
