Is this what having a shutdown corner feels like?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I can't remember us ever having one. Keenan lewis is playing cornerback probably better than I have ever seen any corner play for us.....no not perfect but at the same time, not many mistakes on his side of the field ...

+Greer. Great set of corners. I'll buy them a round.

Lewis is just straight solid. Not spectacular or anything, simply solid. I like it.

Re: Is this what having a shutdown corner feels like?

I guess he's been ok. I think when Mike Mckenzie was healthy, he was our best corner of the last couple decades. Lewis made me angry when he almost killed Kenny Vaccaro on a reckless attempt to hit a receiver on a ball out of bounds. Didn't bother to notice his teammate directly in front of him.

All in all though, he's way better than P-Rob. That's all I ever hoped from him.

It was an accident. It wasn't done deliberately.
