Thursday Injury Report

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Much better indeed. Looks like Vaccaro's a gametime decision The one that worries me is Evans. 1st it was his back, then his hamstring and now a hip? He's having his worst year ever and its hurting the entire O-line....

If Vaccaro can't go, maybe Roman Harper will play. Since the Jets apparently don't have a capable TE, Harper should be OK to go (if he is OK health-wise).

Spot on. He has been amazing for years, one of if not THE best at his position. Suddenly an injury riddled season and our whole O-line looks crappy. This needs to fix real soon or our problems up front are unlikely to go away.

Let's hope he heals up and pulls it together. Such an amazing player when fit. Absolutely crucial to our success.

Evans is the only one that catches me also... I wonder if the hip, hamstring, and back issues are all on the same side? An injury in one could lead to strains in the other two trying to compensate. i was hoping the BYE week would have knocked some of these off the radar.

Doesn't matter which side they're on, a bad hamstring causes you to favor that side and put more weight on the other foot, your back leans a little more to compensate and tweaks, or your hip strains working with the extra load.

I've a torn hamstring..for the last 25 years. I didn't tear a tendon I separated the belly of the muscle. I wasn't guessing.

A bad hamstring doesn't effect weight distribution as it is not a load bearing muscle.

It does effect pushing pulling .... And when you tear one you walk like a Marionette with little control of your lower leg kick out... It also leads to shin splints.
