Our 2 losses have come to out of conference AFC teams, which you'd rather do than lose to teams in the NFC.

If you lose conference games and division games early, you're constantly playing catchup trying to get back in line for the playoff hunt. How you finish in your conference deems where you fall in the playoffs. So it is a ranking per se. It's definitely a math equation and we're still doing fine in line to the playoffs, and we have the ability to correct problems and still have shot at home field advantage in the playoffs. So much football left to play, so much will happen between now and then.

Agreed and I know exactly what people are trying to say. But all of that of the intradivision and conference games don't save us if we give games away, regardless of conference is what I'm saying. My concern is how we play on the road. Let's not forget how close we came to losing to the bucs on the road as well.

Yes, and you are going back to the tie-breaker scenario. what weight does that hold if we do not finish tied? In the end, it could happen and perhaps we'll be talking about how it was a good thing we won all of our NFC games. But right now, a loss is a loss, and it puts a lot more pressure to win down this difficult stretch of schedule coming up. If we play our best, we can do it. If we continue to sputter, I think we can easily agree that we won't be pulling many rabbits out of the hat.

That's the whole point, too much football left to let one midseason loss to allow you to come calling out fans for not having common sense, because you are pissed about a loss...

Depends what you mean by low. At the start of the season, I didn't think we would be as good as 7-1. Please do not tell me I am not much of a fan.

When I last looked, almost every team over the decades have made idiotic mistakes and play calls that have contributed to losses.

We're at the halfway point, and as much as I don't like to say it, I'm not sure we've really beaten anyone of significance yet, and we look extremely vulnerable. We lost to a team that just got beat by 40 points. Does that sound like a reason to be pretty ticked about this one? It does to me. I'll be over it by tomorrow, because that's what I have to do.

But within the context of the season this loss is inexcusable. And if others don't understand that, then I'm not going to sugar coat it. I get attacked for my opinions at times. People didn't like when I said the loss to the Patriots hurts equally to any other loss. Why? I don't know why. But this is my response to them and to the comments about today. This is why we come here, to discuss. I didn't sign up to come here and high five everybody when I don't agree with them.

And when those teams made those idiotic mistakes that cost them wins, did it come back to bite them? Many times it does. It's up to this team to show some pride and not let this keep them down. Right now, they look uninspired.

As to your first comment, I don't think you have low expectations if you didn't think we'd be 7-1. I thought we could be at least that. Oak didn't think we would be 6-2. And given our underwhelming schedule thus far, that seems like low expectations to me.

So pretty much calling others ignorant(no common sense) and trying to argue the fact is okay because you were previously attacked?

It's one thing to be mad but attacking others isn't cool, makes the ones who can't find the ignore button not want to be here...

I don't know or see what they are at the moment. Really next week is the best chance I have knowing/seeing how inspired they are

I don't think what I'm saying is an attack. I said i was tired of hearing that it's not a big deal, and we should be glad it's a non conference game. That's a statement, not an attack. From there on mitch, you've been inciting a great deal of animosity in this conversation. You seem to be much more hurt than anyone else here. I'm annoyed, not hurt. Big difference.

When people continue to argue with me about simple math, I will in fact to tell them that they lack common since, yes. I respond to people who argue with me, because I disagree and have a human instinct to defend my own position. I'm pretty sure most people can handle that.
