He can't call his own number. I personally believe it's where he went to school that gets him all the bashing. It's Payton's cockiness that gets in the way sometimes. No faith in a RB but you do in a 3rd string TE, that's a load of crap. I'm not saying Ingram is the best we got but I don't believe he should get all the criticism either. When as a team you only run the ball 13 times and throw 51 times that's your problem. Take away the 8 yard loss on a stupid TE around which might have worked if you block the DE, we ran the ball 12 times for 47 yards almost 4 yards a carry. That's not a bad average just piss poor amount of attempts.
I'm not an ingram fan but I wholeheartedly agree with this. I only judge ingram by what I see him do on the field. But when he or any other running back doesn't get a chance to do much I can't blame them.

To be honest, I think it's a superstitious thing going on with ingram where people just think bad things happen when he's on the field.

any of you stat guys know how often a RB succeeds on a 1 yard power run when the other team KNOWS its coming? Just curious...seems like Ingram can Never get it done...our o-line is not the best but sproles and PT seem to be much better at it

the drops more than anything else denied us any chance of winning. not even
headcase kicker. we couldn't run it, but when do we run all over anyones asse. there was more to it but if u can't move the chains its over. the 5 yard passing game of ours is our running game. u don't catch the freakin ball its cooked , over ta, ta . thats it. go home. dammit the J. E.T.S. aghh

But I get your point. Payton obviously has no confidence in his run game.
He did run with Jed and Jed got the first. The time out made it so Sean went for the pass in the flat, a play Jed makes consistently. Wide open, perfect pass, and he dropped it. 3rd time the Jets had to be thinking up the gut/QB sneak so Sean went for the mis-direction because the Jets were going to jam the middle. It didn't work.

We definitley should have run a lot more in that game though, especially with the noise issues. Good lesson for Seattle (and the rest of the season).

We had a lot of drops.

For 4th down and inches. Coulda gone with a direct snap to a RB

Poorly written article from someone that was obviously still mad.

Not one single positive note.
