Remaining Schedule
Home:
Dallas (SNF) San Francisco Carolina Tampa Bay Away: Atlanta (Thurs Night) Seattle (MNF) St Louis Carolina - I predicted 5-3 at this point. Really guessed. - If we duplicate first half we end up 12-4. Doubtful. - With exception to San Fran our most difficult (on paper) games remaining are all primetime. We usually do well in primetime. - 4 home / 4 away games - Next 3 out of 4 are primetime I'm going with 11-5. Officially. And you can't talk me out of it! ;) |
Re: Remaining Schedule
Home:
Dallas (MNF) San Francisco Carolina Tampa Bay we can go 4-0 Away: Atlanta (Thurs Night) Seattle (MNF) St Louis Carolina on the road we can go 0-4 just as easily too. the two dome games help out a lot |
Re: Remaining Schedule
I'm going the safe route and 11-5 based on some improvement, mistake free football on offense versus yesterday's performance. Of course this team could just fester with a mistake riddled offense, or could just go on a smear campaign destroying their way to the playoffs. What will happen? Nobody knows.
|
Re: Remaining Schedule
Said 11-5 pre-season, I'm sticking with it.
That means 5-3 the rest of the way. Obviously we'll have to play better than we did Sunday. 3-1 at home 2-2 on the road |
Re: Remaining Schedule
I say 12-4. We have a tough stretch coming up, I see us losing 2 of those. SF and (yes!) CAR.
|
Remaining Schedule
We will lose at least 4 of the remaning games - niners, Seahawks, Carolina once, and St. Louis. Let's hope we beat the cowboys or we are gonna be 9-7.

Re: Remaining Schedule
Carolina still has @San Fran, New England, @Miami, Tampa, Jets, Saints twice and @Atlanta.
If they overtake us, they damn well will have earned it. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
I'll take 11-5 anytime :)
|
Re: Remaining Schedule
Everything hinges on health... Our offense is out of sync in good part to Graham and Colston being at 90% or less, missing games or parts of games by Sproles, Ingram, Moore, o-line, etc... Defense is pretty much the same.
Yes they are all professionals and good players but football being so team oriented its difficult to be in perfect sync when you are reaching deep into your depth chart at certain positions. This also effects game planning and execution. Sproles being out for a large part of the Jets game changed what we could or couldn't do effectively on offense. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
If we cede home field to Seattle - no Lombardi Gras...
And Carolina is only one game back and that's a good thing as they need someone to push 'em... |
Re: Remaining Schedule
I do not see us dropping both 49ers and Cowboys at home. So if we drop the 49ers at home and sea-hawks on the road then possibly Panthers in NC, then we are 11-5. I still say we go 12-4.
The Panthers are playing well but have not beat any teams .. actually Panthers have beat Giants 2-6, Vikings 1-7, Rams 3-6, Bucs 0-8, Falcons 2-6 (Falcons are the only team not in last place in their division that the panthers have beaten.. I see them dropping 1 to the Saints at least, 1 to 49ers, and 1 to the Falcons in Atl, minimum... I see it the same way i did with the #3 Sack DE of the Bills Mario Williams... His whole schedule was against the most sacked QBs in the league... He got 1 against us. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
13-3......same as I said at the start of the season.
|
Re: Remaining Schedule
12 - 4
4 - 0 in the dome 2 - 2 road WHO DAT! |
Re: Remaining Schedule
11-5 is my prediction
12-4 was my prediction at the start of the season Its hard to believe this is the worst offensive team we have had since 2005, to much talent on this team. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
I am curious as to why no one is afraid of the rams? We have not fared we'll against those guys in recent years and Zack Stacy is like Lynch or Ivory.

Re: Remaining Schedule
I really worry about Carolina. We can be 11-5 with 2 of the losses coming from the Panties and still potentially miss the playoffs if they win the division.

I'm concerned about every team we play. The Rams, much like the Jets, are one of the games I worry about laying an egg in. But if we bring our A-game, its an easy win. We would have easily beaten the Jets too if it weren't fro dumb mistakes and unforced errors. Its sandwiched between the Carolina games so it has all the makings of a trap game. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
Well I come up with 10-6 if we include the loss to the rams. That was my preseason guess too.

Re: Remaining Schedule
I agree with Danno on the poor execution comment, we always seemed tone a dropped pass away from going on a march downfield.
|
Re: Remaining Schedule
I think the pats are back up to form, Gronk looks like his old self and the receivers are in sync with Brady. I think they're gonna smash Carolina who will be reeling after a they play the 49ers. All we need is for Cam to get rattled and they're done.

We'd have to go 4-4 to end up at 10-6 but we'd still have the tie breaker on them because of Conference record. So it appears we'd have to go 3-5 under that scenario to lose the division. |

6-2 is good but it hasn't been pretty. But I think we'll go 11-5 and win the division. |

None of those teams suck. Well Tampa and Atlanta do now but didn't when we played them. Carolina beat a sorry Giants team, a sorry St Louis and Minnesota team, lost to Buffalo and Arizona (who we beat) and beat a severely weakened Atlanta and Tampa. Our 6-2 is a hell of a lot more impressive than their 5-3. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
The way Seattle has struggled to win against the Rams and Tampa, I believe the Saints can beat the seapigeons on the road.
As much as I hate to put any losses on the Saints, I could see us losing to the whiners and dropping one to the kittens. |

Same as I said when the first poll came out. The way we played yesterday has me thinking alot though.???

Yeah, Matt Forte sucks...

Re: Remaining Schedule
I don't get why everyone thinks the pats are such an awful team. They're 6-2 (only one game behind the all-mighty Broncos, lol) and still have a top 5 all time qb under centre...yeah they don't Welker or Hernandez but Brady could still be competitive if he had us as his receiving corps.
|
Re: Remaining Schedule
*To clarify, by saying "us as his receiving corps" I am referring to B&G posters.
|
Re: Remaining Schedule
Here's the big problem I see: Kaepernick, Newton (2x), Wilson.
Geno didn't do crap against us through the air but the Jets gashed us on the ground and Geno ran one in for a TD. We sucked against mobile QBs last year and we lost to the one we faced this year. I think we'll be darn lucky to win one of those four. Go ahead, beat me up, or, at least give me reason to hope I'm wrong. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
Before yesterday, I had 13-3. Now... torn between 11-5 and 10-6.
I say we drop SF and SEA. I think we drop one to CAR and one more to someone else. After yesterday, I think anything could happen really. Depends alot on health of our players -- and the health of our opponents. Everything staying the same with health -- I say 11-5 or 10-6. Are we a wild card at 10-6? |

Still, I stand by my statement and I'll add that we can stop the run when we scheme for it properly...case in point, we kept Matt Forte in check and that dude just ran for 125 yards against the Packers (that Packers d-line aint a bunch of pushovers either). San Fran will be our hardest game at home and Seattle will be tough on the road, but given that the Hawks' o-line is in such rough shape right now, I honestly don't know what to think of them. Just go game by game I guess, if you wanna go down the doom and gloom path go ahead, I can't stop you, just like you can't stop me from saying I have faith that we can adjust our scheme and get the right players on the field to shut down pretenders like Newton. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
I thought Rex had there run scemed well.He used the agressive defensive line to his advantage. He knows our defense so will know how to expose it.

Our two losses are AFC losses and frankly I think the JETS game was the egg we were going to lay eventually anyway. I don't see us playing that poorly again. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
11-5.
Road playoff team. Health is key but not more important that Sean calling a good playoff game as HC. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
Quote:
@San Fran New England @Miami Tampa Bay @New Orleans New York New Orleans @Atlanta And we'd have to lose to the Panthers twice and one more somewhere else. |
Re: Remaining Schedule
Something else I want to add, the Jets didn't beat us with their ground game alone, we had to make about a million mistakes for them to steal a win from us in their house. Not just the Toon dropsies, but Meachem missed some easy catches and Graham had a key drop, plus that horrible holding call when Toon finally made a big catch on that last drive. It wasn't that we were exposed as some team that haemorrhages points and yards, we just proved that anything can happen on any given Sunday....so get off the ledge!
