My Obersvation of Corey White

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this, but to me he seems to be laying some serious lumber on every tackle he makes. He only has twelve tackles on the season, but he always seems to let the ball carrier know he was there. I wasn't very high on the kid last year, but then again, I wasn't high on anyone with that horrendous defense. The kid may have a little game in him.

Agreed. The kid knows how to hit. I think we have a great nucleus of young talented very physical players on our defence at the moment.

Raw with loads of potential. He kinda fits what I think may be the new breed of DB.

He's fast enough to play CB, but can hit and tackle like a safety.

He can play CB, FS, SS, NB, and DB. If he continues to develop he could really be something special.

I really like his potential.

Im was singing his praises before the preseason..... then He had a rough preseason, just like Lewis. I think he has made strides to be bumped up into the spot behind Lewis and take Jabari's place. For me, Jabari is natural ballhawk of the crew should be in the slot.

Re: My Obersvation of Corey White

His original position in college was SS, but he has the cover skills of a CB

thats why i think he should be out there more, the guy is a very good player

Like you said, he lets the WR know he's there, he smacked mike wallace to the floor vs miami

He was primarily a CB in college that played very little safety.

The "draft experts" projected him as a safety, but he was a CB in college.

I like him as well. He's one of the few DB's we have that explode to the tackle. He doesn't wait for the guy to come to him and try to make the tackle . He runs all out toward the guy to make the tackle. I would like to see more of him around the slot.

Ahh right my bad, they were half right though, he has the prototypical size for safety but he's as fast as a CB

Keenan and corey both show great toughness at the CB spot

To be completely honest, I really didn't expect much out of him. I didn't think he would even make the team this year. I've been pleasantly surprised.

Re: My Obersvation of Corey White

let robinson walk the kid is ready. he has always been our best tackling secondary player since the first game he played. the issue was coverage and he needs to be on the field, coaching can only take you so far. game time is what he needs now.

scratched my head at the pick and by the end of season one i like the move
