Cowboys fan here!

Hello! Lifelong Cowboys fans here, coming in peace! I always like to start accounts on other forums to discuss upcoming games. I think you guys have a heck of a team and one of the best QB's in football, along with one of the best HCs and DCs. I really wish we didn't fire Rob Ryan, but I'm glad you guys have him.

I think we have a good team and the worst GM in the NFL. It pains me to think of what the Cowboys could be without Jerry Jones. And Jason Garrett, I dunno. Some calls he makes just confuse me. Like last week, Demarco Murray was averaging 7 YPC, but only got the ball 8 times. How does that work?!?!?!

I think, to win, both our teams are in the same situation. You guys have to burn our Secondary, which isn't that hard, and we have to UNLEASH THE ROMO!!! Seriously, we've been running the West-Coast, dink-and-dunk offense this year, and it makes me want to vomit. Romo is a Gunslinger, not a short-pass guy.

We're, sadly 8 points away from being 8-1. Lost to KC by one point, Lost to Denver by three. We're sooo close.

I'd like to ask some questions. What Saints players', that don't make the ESPN highlight reel every week, should I know to watch for?

For us, that would be Cole Beasley. Cole Beasley is 5'8, 170-something. He's quick. He gets the 1st down every time, and can catch anything.

Good Luck Sunday!

Welcome TeamCowboys. Wow, do we know about this situation in New Orleans. Seems to be propagating to a lot of NFL teams lately that RBs aren't as useful as they once were. 10 yards and a cloud of dust has turned into a 1yd run then play action on a 50-yard pass. Then a TE reverse or something.

Watch out for Corey White on our D in my opinion. He can be a game changer, but not always in a good way.

Let's get this going already.

Roman harper, has been out for a while so no highlights for him but i think he will come back hard in this game

That's kind of difficult to answer, on offense Drew can give any receiver a big day just like Stills the past couple of weeks.

And our whole defense except for Cameron Jordan is basically never talked about, but they're ranked 5th(points per game) so take your pick...

And Jerry still does.

Like Mitch said, Cameron Jordan has been excellent for the Saints D this season. He hasn't been doing it as long as D. Ware or C. Wake , but this season he's been putting pressure on QB's as well as they have. If he can keep it up over several seasons, he'll be a star in the league as well.
Jordan along with Junior Galette, have been harassing QBs all season. It's been a big part of the defensive turn around we've seen.

(couple of names you might not have heard of)

Re: Cowboys fan here!

I think the players we count on most that don't make highlights reels are the two linebackers, David Hawthorne and Curtis Lofton. Those guys have played great football. (except for last week against the Jets which was just a bad, bad showing on defense).

On offense there aren't any real surprises. With Colston out and Graham limited, you'll probably see a lot more of Lance Moore than you normally would. But he's not really an unknown.

I would say this game comes down to one matchup: Keenan Lewis on Dez Bryant. If Lewis gets the upper hand on Bryant early and the Saints can get a couple scores ahead at home in the Dome, then it's over. Otherwise it's probably going to be a real close one.

Re: Cowboys fan here!

Roman Harper - will beef up our run stop ability and may grab a turnover.

Pierre Thomas - I always mention him even-though we're not running much this year. Out of nowhere he'll break 8 to 11 yard runs on first or second down out of nowhere... (then Sean Payton forgets to call his number and we go back into throw every-down-mode - but that's another story.)

At home our defensive line will shock you! They're not as good away.

Ur Rb only getting a few touches.. join the club.

My takes would be Khiry Robinson (if he plays) and Tyrunn Walker.. Walker should be a run stopper and Khiry can be what Ivory was minus the fumbles and hamstrings. rest of the guys already named all the big names.

Well here's some news... Dez Bryant may have a herniated or ruptured disc in his back.

"Dallas wide receiver Dez Bryant participated on a limited basis in practice on Thursday while continuing to vow to play Sunday night in New Orleans. But sources close to the Cowboys standout tell FOX Sports Southwest that there are concerns he is suffering from a bulging or herniated disc in his back and that measures being taken to treat the ailment go far beyond "precautionary."

"C'mon, you know I'm going to play,'' Bryant said in the locker room while declining to address the specifics of his condition."

In three seasons as HC, Garrett is 8-8, 8-8, and 5-4. That's about as consistent as you can get.

Excelling as mediocrity is no simple task. He stumbled in the 5-4 season.

Hello there, TC. I dont
hate the Cowboys anymore, since I left the Shreveport area. They showed
Dallas, instead of the Saints on tv, ... in Lousiana. I didnt like the Michael Irvin era Boys, but I actually do like Romo, and honestly, its been so long since they did much, I actually admire Cowboys fans now.

I'm really happy with Rob Ryan. I liked him from the outset, & thought he brought a nice, nasty attitude to the defense, and its very personal to him.

Rob's personal vendetta may be your biggest problem Sunday, unless our Offense eats its spinach for the first time this season. If that happens, I know, you know, we all know, yall can just go home, and maybe get some nice souvenirs on the way out. But the magic word is IF. If Aunt Ruth had balls, she'd be uncle Bert. So far, our O-line needs some of Aunt Ruth's balls, as Drew has taken more hits than ever.

Guys to watch out for? Well you've already met Lance Moore back on that Thanksgiving game. I still think he's a vastly underrated talent. If we would
give the ball to rookie RB, Khiry Robinson, he would break out & be a big problem, but Coach Payton rations the ball to guys he trusts. Payton seems
to think Robinson might fumble. Robinson runs like he has icy hot in his jock.

There's another Saint who will hammer you. The moment you start focusing on other things, like getting torched long, RB Pierre Thomas rolls thru you like a souped up tank. He can run, catch, and does the screen better than anyone in the NFL. Pierre needs to change his name to Tyrell, or Shante, or something, because nobody seems to know his name, but he is a world class weapon.

We're 8 points away from being 8-0, but there's that big IF again.

Hope you guys go injury free, and good luck with all your other games this season. Saints & Boys might make a good NFC Championship. :drink:

Fun fact: Tony Romo has the 2nd most 4th qtr comebacks in the NFL since 2010, and just put up his 20th last weekend. At this point in his career, Brady only had 18 4th qtr comebacks.

And Tony Romo also has one of the highest 4th qtr QBR of the past 30 years. :)

Re: Cowboys fan here!

The Cowboys have allowed 500+ total yards 3 times this season. In 213 games from 2000-2012, they allowed 500+ yards 4 times TOTAL.

Romo has 11 TDs and 1 INT in losses. Four losses I swear he's like the only QB that can happen to. The ineptitude of this team is beyond ridiculous.

I don't care how many turnovers this defense is getting when we're giving up 400-500 yards and 30 points per game.

It's ridiculous. But it's always all Romo's fault. He can do no right to some fans.

11 TDs, 1 INT.

No excuses for Romo, right?

ThAts absolutely right, Romo hasn't been raised right over there in cowboy land. If SP had gotten him , he'd be on his way to the HOF.
