Crappy pass D vs. Beat up D

I am expecting tons of points Sun. Night

Dallas is 31st in pass D; Brees has our pass offense at number 3 (two yards behind Detroit).
Our defense is getting banged up (or staying banged up) and , hate to admit it, but Romo and Bryant have looked good

Our TOP has dropped about 4 minutes over last 3-4 games, meaning our D is on the field longer

Final score 34-28

Man, I hope so. It'll help keep our coverage attention on Witten, as HE'S the one I'm concerned with in the pass coverage scheme and in the Red Zone. Witten will eat us alive in single coverage with a LB or S. I'm thinking, though, that we'll keep a safety deep on Dez's side all night. No one wants to relive last year's 9 catches, 224 freakin' yards, and 2 TDs this coming Sunday night...of course we've upgraded quite a bit since then with Lewis at CB and Ryan at DC.

Should be a hoot...just glad I ain't the DC, though I can dress up like The Big Lebowski any time I want.

Re: Crappy pass D vs. Beat up D

Surely you'd keep Lewis on Bryant all night. The idea of having a Safety specifically on Bryant over the top is nice but unlikely. You will definitely have them keeping an extra eye on him but not 'on' him.

Witten is by far the biggest pain in the butt. He is the go-to guy so if Lewis can play Bryant out on a number of snaps, we would be better served going double coverage on Witten.

If Dallas has done any research however, and that research would have been all of 60 seconds, they may want to put the ball in DeMarco Murray's hands a little more than they did last week! THAT is the biggest concern.

Witten is the goto guy very sporadically, I have him on my fantasy team and he is a rollercoaster of activity. Using Witten is not guaranteed.

I think it's going to be a good game. I know there are alot of Dallas haters but I still tend to like them...
Dallas seems to always play UP to the competition while at times we tend to play DOWN to the competition.
End result I think it will be a close game.
