Hypothetical question about our kicking game
I know its not possible I just wondered why you dont see it. How come we cant just have Moorestead kick field goals and punts and kickoffs? Is their a rule against it or is he simply not good at field goals?
At this point ANYTHING is better than Hartley. I think he has missed more than he made this season. |

Re: Hypothetical question about our kicking game
Moorestead, from what I understand, has a super strong leg but has accuracy where he can barely hit the side of a barn as a field goal kicker. We probably do better with the head case. Moorestead is an emergency place kicker only.

Re: Hypothetical question about our kicking game
I think Hartley has to go. We can't afford to have him screw up next week. The 49ers are a far better football club than the Cowboys, at least defensively.

Re: Hypothetical question about our kicking game
I made a comment a while back that theSaints will probably focus on O line this comming draft/FA....better add a kicker in there as well. Seriously,we need some consistency. This guy is just not worth having around anymore.

Re: Hypothetical question about our kicking game
No way i am burning a draft pick on a frikicker... We will have glaring needs with the 2014 FA class and the cap.

But I agree Oak, I'd rather sign a relatively inexpensive but reliable kicker in free-agency. |
