With SF, Seattle, and Carolina coming up I got to wondering how our D will fare against these running QBs. With our run D the way it is it kind of scares me. I dont think he will be able to blitz as much either. If we can keep Kapernick honest and make him beat us with his arm we should win this one but his, and the other two's running capability scare me. We have not seen one of these Qbs yet this year and I am curious to see what happens. Here is where Rob earns his paycheck.

I re-watched the game today and a few things stand out.

1. When we switched to the heavy 34 set we played much better against the run. (heavy meaning 3 DL and 4 actual LBs)

2. It's hard for me to tell but I saw more gap blocking by our O-line. (can anyone confirm this?)

I think you may be right, on a lot of ingrams runs it didnt look like we zone blocked at all

You're right.. I said the same thing about the Jets and look what happen there. The NFL has been tough to predict this year.

Exactly. I dont know why people don't get this. There are no easy division games. Ever. Every once and a while you will have a blow out, but most of the time they go down to the wire. Plus we are at their house.
