While the trade deadline is only a few days away, rumors involving the Saints have swirled up over the past few days. The most recent rumor involves the Saints and the San Diego Chargers. The rumor would have Chargers quarterback Drew Brees going to the Saints in exchange for either a draft pick or wide receiver. While the likelihood of this going on before the trade deadline is slim, it could be one to watch as the season ends and teams begin to talk trades yet again.

As a result of that trade rumor another has popped up that would involve Brooks going to Miami. With his performance against Tampa combined with his ill advised comments during the week leading up to that game and run-ins with teammates, many in the organization apparently have a bad taste in their mouth as it relates to Brooks. One source described Brooks’ performance against the Bucs as, “disgusting� and “embarrassing to watch.� If any sort of deal were to go down with the Chargers, then don’t be surprised if a Brooks to Miami for draft choices or a draft pick and a player were to occur right after. Even if no move is made before the trade deadline, then don’t discount the possibility of Brooks being unloaded in the off-season. Several of the reports I am receiving from sources are saying that numerous people in and associated with the organization have lost faith in Brooks and now question whether he can lead the team to the next level. Barring the Saints having an impressive turn around and making the playoffs, the remainder of the season and the coming off-season should be a very turbulent time for the Saints’ organization and their players, one in which no one is safe.

Aaron Brooks to Miami for a 1st (that should make two REAL high draft picks)?

Brooks having too many run-ins with teammates? MANY in the org. with a bad tast in their mouths? AB against the Bucs was “disgusting� and “embarrassing to watch.�???? Many in and associated with the org have lost faith in AB? Many question whether he can lead the team to the next level????

Hhhmmm... any comments on that?? LOL. Bring on the pain.

I am against it. If they can just get rid of the coaching staff and bring in some coordinator coaches from New England for head coach possibilty Zook will be available for def coordinator, fire Loomis and hire back Mueller. this team will be back on track.

trade Tesucky and sorry Sully for some draft picks.

I can\'t see Marty doing that while the Chargers are still winning and being very competative when they\'re losing.

Besides, if we took on a new QB while Haz and friends are still here, they ruin him. Might not be a bad idea for the offseason if we have a coach that wants a horizontal passing game.

brees will be a FA after this season so trading for him would be a mistake if you cant sign him long term

the packers are wanting him, and its been said he has interest to play there (providing farve retires) im sure any QB would choose GB over NO

Brooks for a first rounder - no way is he worth that

miami as well as NO wil most likely be looking for head coaches after this season - would a front office make a deal like this knowing they will have new coached and a different system next season

I would love Patrick Ramsey. He was a real good QB at Tulane - and just in case anyone thinks the \'smart\' kids from Tulane can\'t play, forever remember Mewelde Moore.

I always thought Ramsey had real potential in the league. He seems to be less mobile in the NFL setting than he was in college, but he\'s smart, and we all know I like that.

As for Brooks to Miami... I wouldn\'t mind dumping our next overhyped bust to them for a high draft pick. How well do you think he would do in that offensive system? LOL
