Yes because of necessity, not choice. Linebackers are typically there to stop the run, not cover tight ends unless there are third a long situations. Most teams don't have a guy like Chancellor to blanket tight ends so what choice do they have? What is a team suppose to do, we don't have any physical safeties so I guess we'll let Graham run free??

I don't, I think we would handle Denver.. I would love to see Welker, Decker and Thomas go against the legion of Boom. Denver already got a taste of them early this hear and they were manhandled by us. No amount of bias officiating is going to change that imo.

I agree with the #2 seed being almost as valuable as the #1 seed

I could live with this scenario. It's gonna be hard to get the #1 otherwise.

It is all wide open right now and the NFC looks tough regardless of who is in; that HFA is going to be huge in the NFC.

If you look at the league from just a statistical point of view the Saints have the 2nd ranked offense and the 4th ranked defense; the combination of a great offense and great defense is being overlooked, and no other team in the league has that combination.

I agree with this, after tonight, the direction of your season will be decided in the next couple weeks.

Anyone who says that either of these teams is bad looks rediculous. These are the two best teams in the NFC and not even sure its close. I've seen some dumb comments in this thread but I guess thats understandable considering its a Saints forum. I have also seen some really smart objective posts too which is nice after spending some time on the 49ers forum.

I have no problem with anyone thinking the Saints are better. I do think the vast majority of the board is under estimating the Seahawks and how good they are. They are 10-1 and played most of the year without 3-4 starters on the offensivle line. I also think Wilson is really going to shock people with how good he is. Just saw an NFL scount call him a top 4 QB in the NFL right now and I think he is right. Anyway I think homefield will be huge for the path to the Super Bowl. Seahawks have played better than the Saints on the road this year so it might be more important for you guys to get it.

I expect a very close game but the Seahawks are too tough at home. I do love the Saints though and what they are about. Good luck guys!

In fairness we haven't played the Saints since beast quake. We can speculate but nobody know what will happen until the teams play. The Hawks will put up points (imo) with a healthy mix of Lynch and pass but the outcome of this game in my opinion will be their run offense vs our run defense. They are not going to throw all over the place in my opinion, I think they will try to mix it up and control the clock. If they can't run on us they are cooked. Nobody has been able to just chuck it all over the field on us with our very physical secondary and our pass rush, which they will have to neutralize.

Felt like a 12th man takeover of this thread .. guess that would be falcon fans this year if they weren't losing.

Re: How I think rest of Season will play out.

Welcome Seahawks fans.... If you wish to have some fair discussion these are some points you may want to consider before posting.

1. You are not the only team with an injury report. You are also not the only team that gets players back once they are ready to play. So if you dont mind, we can dispense with (we are this good with x players hurt...) So are we.

2. "I feel"... Back it up with something more than just two words. Feelings are subjective and provide zero evidence of anything other than fanship. Empirical data, and Xs & Os are what we want to discuss.

3. You may see some "dumb comments".. Following that with a comparison between Wilson and Manning on a PvP is "dumb". Wilson is good because of Lynch, evidence is in the fact that your Passing Game is 24th in the league, your completion % is 8th and your over 100+ passing attempts behind the big boys. Your record is no more an indication of Wilson as a QB as Matt Ryans record was last year.

* If you think nicely framed derogatory statements fly over our heads because we are a bunch of Deep South coon-ases your may want to rethink that. Dont assume we are slow and we will not assume you hug trees and hump whales. Capisce?

So put the kool-aid down and lets talk ball. Lets talk match-ups.

A solution for Jimmy Graham is not someone the same height...
Lynch will be a hand full but if you go through our stats this season we have locked down some of the best RBs.
This is not the defense of 2009/2010/2011/2012... let that soak in for a while.

PS. The 12th man is a Texas A&M tradition. You pay a licensing fee to use it instead of trying maybe.. A little originality. <--see, that's proper smack talk. :bng:
