"Killer" Cam Jordan
I will admit when we drafted him in 2011, I wasn't too familiar with him. I read up on him leading into the draft and figured he would be a solid player. Amazingly he reminds me of one of my All-Time Favorite Saints D-Linemen Wayne Martin. I remember in 1989, I was puzzled as to who he was and why were we drafting him but he later showed flashes in his rookie year and blossomed throughtout his career to I believe the tune of 80+ sacks. Now fast forward to 2011 and Cam Jordan, I see much the same. I thought he was just a step slow in his rookie year to many sacks, but I thought nothing of it. Then last year he has 8 sacks and is on pace to easily have 10 this season. If Akiem Hicks can follow the same path as Cam, our D-Line will be a strength for years to come. What do you guys think?

I'm not one to normally do this. I wouldn't even know how to go back and find the old posts, but I know I said it more than once when we drafted him. I was happy, and felt like he was going to do big things for us!! Glad I was right (for once).

Re: "Killer" Cam Jordan
He disappeared for a couple of games there but yesterday may have been one of his better games as a Saint. It was definitely Hicks best game as a Saint. It looks like we have finally learned how to draft defense. Suddenly we have a lot of young up and coming players with what looks to be a high ceiling. Can only get better.

I actually wasn't all that thrilled when we drafted him; figured he was more of a run-stopping DE than a pass rusher. Well, surprise! He's both...thrilled as hell last year and now, obviously.

Re: "Killer" Cam Jordan
Cam fell into laps and i said i can live with it. i should have been jumping up and down.
first year you could see he was special. to many times he broke down for containment in stead of rushing the passer. why? thats a coaching answer i guess. spags year is a pass |
