Saints sign cornerback Trevin Wade
Saints starting corner Jabari Greer went down with a knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Saints coach Sean Payton did not say yet if it was season ending, but deemed it "significant."
Wade was the Cleveland Browns' seventh-round draft pick out of Arizona in 2012. He spent 2012 with the Browns and was released in August. "Really appreciate all the love from #WHODATNATION," Wade tweeted. "Ready to play my role and add to the team success. #LetsGetIt" He played in 13 games last season with 17 tackles and one pass deflection. Wade would likely back up Corey White, who is expected to start in Greer's place. LINK |
