The number of teams isn't the problem, it's the fact that "any given Sunday" now applies

Yeah, you're right and maybe there's not that much difference between 26 teams in the league and 32, but it doesn't seem like 'AGS' was as applicable back then as it is today ... seems like back then teams were able to stack their rosters with more talent and establish dynasties where in today's game, all you need are a few key positions to field a competitive team and nobody really dominates anymore.

Meh, I'm just pissed because I'm losing out on all the close picks this year,
