White has the skills. At times, his all out effort puts him out of position. Experience will correct that. I see him more like the other starting CB on the Saints. Nothing measureable jumps out at you, but he always gets the job done.

Whites first half proved he doesn't play off his man very well

The second half proved he is very good at press-man coverage.

This showed why he was a back-up. He let a rookie eat him alive time and time again. He played too far off his guy all night 10-12yds is way too much cushion

And he moved up closer in the 2nd half and played very well.

Playing 10-12 yards off is the coaches fault, not his.

we got slanted to death-
good adjustments, and the fumble recovery was a good confidence boost

The last Falcon drive of the first half he started playing press and there were very few slants after that.

In fact, you could say that he was in just about perfect coverage the rest of the night.

Roddy White and Gonzalez became Matt Ryans targets after that...
