To the extent that she has any influence, what's the read on her short term and long term plans to build a championship franchise ...

Mike D says "Clean House"

Detillier seems to think that cleaning house is the best solution, even though he wouldn't speculate on specific names to replace anyone who gets the axe. If Benson is at the training facility every day, I can't imagine anyone feeling very confident about their positions right now. |

So, just for fun, let\'s assume there is a massive house-cleaning. Who do we want to bring in?
1. GM 2. Head Coach (assume coordinators will be chosen by HC) 3. QB |

Shake up? Hell, shake up the foundation til the roof of the Dome falls off. It\'s a trickle down effect starting from the GM and working down to the towel boys.
Loomis should be rightfully replaced by Randy Mueller, but we all know that isn\'t going to happen. I\'m sure there are tons of candidates that actually know football and can do the job Loomis isn\'t doing. Romeo Crennell, Charlie Weis, or Maurice Carthon to replace Haslett next season after he is fired halfway through THIS season and replaced by either Venturi or McCarthy on an interim basis. There will be a ton of players gone next year when the new regime comes in, i\'m pretty sure. Joe Horn (cap casualty), Darren Howard (replaced by Will Smith), Ambrose (age), and several others who just haven\'t produced. IMHO, I don\'t see a new regime holding on to Brooks much longer, either. One of two things will happen. One, they bring in a rookie or free agent QB to compete with him. Two, he\'s traded to either Miami, Oakland, Arizona, or Baltimore (just who I think he could go to.). I agree with WhoDat on the immediate future. Start playing some of the younger guys. Put Bockwoldt in at linebacker, Brown at corner, Mitchell in at safety, Stinchcomb at RG, Gardner and Henderson more reps at WR, Karney more PT in the backfield, Leisle some downs at DT, and let them do what they do best. What would it hurt? |
