Nothing to lose but another game.
A look at the paper this morning showed a comparison of all NFL offenses, and defenses. Offensively, we have stats in the top ten for most everything except rushing yards. Defensively, we are at the bottom of the list, and not just by a small margin. It is flat terrible how far we've fallen from the great D's under Jim Mora. How does this happen when Haslett is an ex-linebacker at Buffalo, and a defensive coordinator for very good defenses in Pittsburgh? Anyway........
Against the Raiders, we have nothing to lose in putting in our un-tried backups. They honestly could not do much worse. If I was Jim, here's what I'd do: Gleason in - Tebucky out, as in not even suit up out. Fahkir Brown, and Fred Thomas starting corners, with McKenzie nickelback. Sedrick Hodge Sam linebacker, Colby Bockwoldt Will Linebacker In pre-season Bockwoldt played with strong intensity. I hope he has the skills cause we need his spirit. And finally Leisle at DT with Young. Currently there's a highway open next to Young so if Leisle at least doesn't move he'll get in the runner's way. I know, I know you want me to apply for the soon to be open head coaching job, but I'll have to check my calendar. |
