Re: Should we make a play for Michael Orr?

Strief reminds me a lot of Jeff Backus, recently retired O/T (DET) ... much maligned, but when you break it down, he's actually doing a pretty good job ... I had heard that Oher hasn't been living up to expectations in Baltimore the past few seasons, but honestly, other than his Disney flick, I haven't done any research on him.

It'd be great, with his ability to play either side, if you could get him, but I'm wondering if he'd pull a 'Carl Nicks' by going to another team and flopping ... just wondering ... I think I'd rather take a chance on the draft then with some of these free-agent O/L. JMO. .

He didn't do that well at LT, not bad, but not good. In fact he hasn't been playing well at all for a couple of years now. His pass protection is lacking.

I don't think he'd be much of an upgrade.

Yeah, and I would think LT would be the position the Saints would want to upgrade if they're gonna' spend that kind of money on a O/L.
