this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The problem with having somebody like Peterson is he becomes too much of the offense. It helps everyone except an egomaniac to spread the sugar around. Thomas wouldn't be that good if he was the target of the entire defense....

Agreed, PT plays an important role and excells at it. But to put him on AP level is stretching it. PT benefits greatly from this system. He's a perfect fit here. He' d probably get pummeled in an Adrian Peterson role and be on IR by week six.
