I don't think we can blame the defense nearly as much as the offense. Seattle averages high 20's in scoring and our defense held them to their average.

But look at these offensive drives. Six 3 and outs (one resulting in a Seattle TD), and one 5 and out, and two decent drives that ended on failed 4th and shorts. Going into the 4th quarter we had 104 total yards.

No defense can play with an offense that futile.

I love Payton and Brees to death but how many times are we going to throw 20 yards on a 3rd and 1? Pick up the damn first down with a quick slant if you can't run it and continue the possession. Why must we always go for the kill shot instead of just picking up the first down! Last night's game was a total lack of discipline.

And I noticed once again, they went to Hall on a critical 3rd down. It was overthrown but I think they must really like what they see in this young man.

I'm kinda excited to see how he develops for 2014. Coach obviously believe in him.

And Graham is our 1st string TE, taller and Hall is our 3rd string TE. I felt Brees was throwing high in the game, but Graham would have caught it. Graham dropped one earlier and already redeemed himself.

I just don't see how/why you don't go to your "playmakers" on that play. I'm also confused why Graham and Sproles were used earlier in the season, at times, totally ad nausium, but suddenly they are simply NOT part of the playbook or very limited.

Definitely more than just coaching. They smothered us in every aspect possible.
Plus when you have a tipped ball fall into a D-linemans hands for a pick six in the first half, and then a deflection off a recievers helmet straight into another recievers hands for a TD, I think it is safe to say we were never going to be in that game.

I saw Hill reach out and not catch a ball that would have been very catch-able by Graham.

Drew has already taken the blame, but really with a failed o-line, I think he was the least of our problems tonight, and he sucked which goes to tell you how bad other aspects of our offense REALLY sucked including playcall.

well is it this way

Agree players especially on offense stunk. Payton and OC called the worst game since payton has been here. No team as Dano pointed out could keep up when your offense is doing that to you. Payton stuck with what wasn't working almost like someone who put a lot of money on the game to lose. Time to move on it truly showed how bad this team can be. I can only hope this was a fluke and a horrible day at the office and see what happens next.

Its on the players. Do Your Job. They didn't show up last night. They didn't.
