SEATTLE — Jed Collins had a simple answer for a simple question Monday night, less than 60 minutes after his Saints were cut down 34-7 by Seattle at cold and loud CenturyLink Field.

“Good team, simple as that,” the fullback said. “We played a good team tonight. They were better than us. Lesson learned. Move forward. It’s going to hurt on the plane ride home but tomorrow you wake up and get ready for Carolina.”

Easier said than done.

Monday night was billed as a matchup of the NFC’s two best teams, 10-1 Seattle against 9-2 New Orleans and there’s no question the best team in the NFL was in the stadium.

Seattle was bigger, faster, stronger and louder, as their locker room entrance claims.

For the other team – New Orleans – there’s no telling how far they may fall or how hard it will be to get ready for the Panthers.

Because it doesn’t get any easier from here.

If you’re looking for positives, there simply aren’t any.

It's an 'Ok' read ... what this thread needs is a little 'Chumbawamba', ... I chose this particular version because I like the way the words scroll across the screen in 'StarWars' fashion ... "da, da, dadadada-da ..."

They did get schooled.

Carolina is a tough team.

It is a short (now shorter) week.

Realistically, we could be fighting for a wild card after Sunday.

Both teams, Carolina and the Saints control their own destiny playing each other twice in three weeks. Of course, I think the Rams in between present a bigger issue than the Jets for Carolina.

The noise was killing them, they should have practiced the silent count and no huttle to speed the game up on offense.

We didn't play well at all last night but I saw flashes of who we are. We just couldn't put it together. Don't despair, we will bounce back. Next game might be against those "hot panthers" but it is in the SD. We take care of business in our place. And if we happen to meet the seahawks again this year up in CL stadium, I predict we'll give them a much better game the 2nd time around and possibly win it.
