Re: Saints vs Seattle Breakdown
We went all in on the run cause that's what killed us against the Jets, but still a big reason why we beat the 49ers...and we actually shut down Lynch (had Wilson not played probably the best game of his career/Brees having one of his worst this game would have been much closer).
Anyways, we typically we stop either the run or the pass and then leak a little bit in the other area of the game until the offence picks up and at that point we start rolling. Once we force the opposition into playing from behind and becoming one dimensional, the d-line usually wears down the o-line and that's where our strength is (1st in the NFL in sacks). This one was just a debacle, Wilson showed up when we shut down Lynch and our offence had the worst outing of the Brees-Payton era...every team has hiccups, given who we have had to play and how we've had to play them (physical games in short proximity coupled with a lot of travelling) I'm not ready to throw in the towel and give the NFC to the 'hawks. |
Re: Saints vs Seattle Breakdown
Under pressure...Drew missed numerous open receivers, Wilson hit nearly every one of them.

Re: Saints vs Seattle Breakdown
For all of you who are ready to jump on me for making excuses, I will concede that I am stating the obvious by saying that the game woulda been closer had the offence not come out and laid an egg, but even the best teams have bad games.
I mean look at how the Colts took down the Broncos, Hawks and 49ers and then got worked by the Rams. |
Re: Saints vs Seattle Breakdown
Stop throwing the ball to Hill...Please!

Quote:
The TD Seattle had at the end of the first half after Graham's TD was the killer. Blown coverage big time. |
